When I finished my degree, I had 2 offers. One was Analog Devices. They are known to ASR for early op amps, ADC, DAC, their SHARC DSP, probably more.

AD took a slice of Tektronix land, originally the Tektronix GaAs fab, spun off into TriQuint, now Qorvo. GaAs is used for high frequency RF applications, often in mobile phones. You can look up their design wins.

I have run into the current AD kids at free local Rohde & Schwarz training seminars. Hey, technology stimulation-education and a free lunch! They are bright and bushy tailed, which is a credit to the company. R&S has many free training sessions online.

BTW R&S makes excellent products and is privately held.

Texas instruments is big in analog/audio too. They acquired National Semiconductor who was also big into analog.

Just quickly checking, they are profitable but their stock took a big hit today. A bit more quick research shows they reported their quarterly earnings yesterday... Apparently below expectations...

seems like a good time to be in the semiconductor biz
