You lost your dealership with ATC and now you obviously trying to mock them at every chance you get. Are you butthurt?

They really are recommended by What-Hifi, and you are correct we did lose ATC, the main problem was that when customers compared say the 8Cs to our active 50’s( Yew veneer), the 8Cs walked all over them, more transparent, better bass extension, adjustable bass output, phase coherent, perfect step, inbuilt tone and PEQ, etc etc and the 8Cs are cheaper and have D/A A/D built in.
It was useful to have a pair though because they are for many a reference, and the hyped ATC mid-range dome .
I hope that ATC a U.K. company do make a contemporary design that can compete with European designs but I don’t believe they have the technical knowledge or even the will.

I fear I may have oversold the ATCs just looked through What Hi-Fi‘s loudspeaker recommendations, and the SCM40’s are no longer there!

Obviously no longer being in What Hi-Fi does not detract from the loudspeakers performance.
