And i hear not carnutt (i'm not) outside the US going crazy about this car or it's performances, so i guess it's not that special (except very fast)
No, it also has a very good chassis and achieves very good lap times on the usual test tracks, such as the Nürburgring.

I would choose the Porsche because it is much more comfortable for me.
I'm 2m (6.6 feet?) tall and weigh 105kg.
I couldn't sit properly in the Corvette (previous model).
I have no problems in a 911.

It's also not only about top speed when you spend that kind of money, it's about the joy of driving the car. And that is a subjective (at least partly) factor. I would never drive that car, even if it's given for free, as the C8 ZR1 looks awfull to my (subjective) taste...

And i hear not carnutt (i'm not) outside the US going crazy about this car or it's performances, so i guess it's not that special (except very fast). But if you love that car, just disregard my comments, it's just a car... I was mentioning the Porche because it has a Meridian system as option to replace the standard bose system and is very fast. I'm quiet happy with my small BMW with generic speakers, and would not buy a supercar when i win the lotto. It has no use for me as passenger car.
But the video and the Nürburgring lap are not about top speed but mainly cornering and that is were the mid engine C8 ZR1 really shines. I am also located like you in EU and grew up with the love and passion for Porsche but we must stay objective and thankfully nowadays even the European press has recognised the value of the last two generations of the Vette. The 911 platform is limited by its rear engine concept, Porsche although they know a mid engine concept is superior cannot change because its part of its legend and DNA, but for the 24 hour Lemans race few years ago they "secretly" sent a 911 with a mid engine. ;)

Again, it's not about the fastest, but who got the best hifi system. At least that is what this tread is about.

And a 911 GT2 (with the engine on the back) in the right hands (Sabine Smitz) is still eating other V8 and V12 GT's cars for breakfast:

Just because the premium 911 audio system has the "Meridian" label doesn't mean it is superior to another one, only measurements can show that.

Porsche has really done wonders on their concept, making it perform nowadays as nobody would have dreamed of few decades ago, Sabine is also a legend to be always remembered, may she rest in peace.

Yep, I’m aware that the MBL amplifiers measure well. One even technically dethroned a Benchmark product as I recall.
One of the few situations I'm aware of where a hyper-expensive component actually delivered performance equal to or beyond what should be expected from them.
I'll rather get this 2025 Porche 911 GTS (or another variation) with the Burmeister system, altough Bose can also (is the standard system). American sportscars go fast sometimes, but are not really known to be good at taking corners, while this beast, once you know the trick, is the best arround for that. If you don't know the trick, it may try to kill you altough...
I guess you didn't listen to the posted video on ZL1's, or know your racing history.
ZL1 Corvettes been kicking ass on those Euro lead sleds since the C4 intro in 1990

The Ford GT40 was introduced in 1964 and kicked butt on everything at Le Mans from 1966 thru 1968.
"The car debuted in 1964, with Ford winning World Championships categories from 1966 to 1968. The first Le Mans win came in 1966 with three 427 cu in (7.0 L) powered Mk.II prototypes crossing the finish line together, the second in 1967 by a similarly powered highly modified US-built Mk.IV "J-car" prototype. In order to lower ever-higher race top speeds, a rule change from 1968 onwards limited prototypes to 3.0 litre Formula 1 engines; a loophole, however, allowed the private JW "Gulf Oil" team to win at Le Mans in 1968 and 1969 running a Mk.I with a 5.0 litre engine."

Did ya ever see the movie Ford VS Ferrari ?

Is it true Porch are made from crushed and ground VW Bugs??? LOL

The Relentless gear needs to be finished in BLACK to match the speakers. ;)
Both offer SOTA wood and metal finishing. The measurements seem equal to the build craftsmanship.
"Overall, the Relentless offered excellent measured performance, better than that of the D'Agostino Momentum HD preamplifier JVS reviewed in February 2020, with very low levels of noise and distortion, even into low impedances!—John Atkinson"

Someone needs to tell D'Agostino that the year 2000 called and wants its Audi TT design language back.

One sold recently for $18,000,000

Sabine Schmitz was the Queen of the Nurburgring. Having been on the Green Hell myself, a couple of times, I can tell...

I know, been there also, in a 911 Turbo that i knew very well. And i did not even come near her time...

But with that same 911 Turbo (model 993) I did do laps in Spa Francourchamps a lot faster than a Ferrari F40 or a Mercede CL65 AMG, some of the faster cars of that era (+20 years ago) with way bigger engines. I did learn how to handle the 911, and when you know that you can go a lot faster than most dare without ending up in the decor. But I never had the skills of a real race driver, it was the car of my girlfriend at that time...

And now back on topic please. Because we wandered far off...

Either she had lots of money, or really trusted your driving. ;)

$18 million! ?
Yes only 17 aluminum bodied 1959 Ferrari California Spiders were made, very light and fast with a V12 engine. They won races.

Who the hell spends 18 million for a car he doesn't dare drive? LOL
Investment maybe? I don't get that.
I'll take a Vette or Shelby AC Cobra any day. ;)

My ex boss has owned a 66 or 67 C2 427 coupe big block for a bunch of years now.
He even let his son use it to take his girl to his senior prom about 25 years back.
But he wouldn't dare do that today, it's just too valuable and traffic too busy any more.

Oops! My bad!

The D'Agostino gear listed costs a whole lot more that the Audi TT... :)

All the more reason to update the tacky design. :p

To be fair Sabine’s crazy experience on the Nordschleife (aka Green Hell) has to be added to the equation. Countless laps. Too bad she passed away so soon.
