ASR list of known class D home audio amplifiers.

The Sony TA-DA7000ES, STR-DA7100ES and STR-DA9100ES are also class D amps.

It appears RBH has their Unrivaled Alpha amplifiers, 2 - 10 channels, in Class D.

Thank you Doodski, this is rad!

Now, maybe someone would like to start a "gut shot" thread :)

Nothing makes me inwardly cringe more than an otherwise competent module ruined by a "custom buffer," or some blunderingly stupid discrete opamp "solution."

Thanks again chaps.

It seems editing of the list in post 1 stopped in July 2024.

Seems like an easy task to give to chat gpt. Or canva, if you want me to write the script I can do it in about 15 minutes with either of those. Something I have sort of taken up as a hobby.

Sure, if you want an answer that might or might not be accurate. Remember that ChatGPT and Claude don't actually look at facts, they synthesize language based on how text usually looks like.

Probably because class D becomes the standard, nowadays.
You mean, too much work because of the abundance of amplifiers? But if testing can keep up, surely list keeping should be less work, innit? The first post says 'This will be organized as results come in.', so clearly the list is not meant to track ALL class D amps, just the ones there are test results for.

Still, list keeping might lose its allure after a while; it's always easy to demand consistency from other people, if one doesn't have to do the work oneself... ;-)
