I would appreciate any advice. I have a c2300 preamp and vintage Jamo Concert 11 (D870) speakers. I'm considering the MC7300, MC7270 and MC302.. 70% music, 30% movies. I have an offer for all of them for about the same price. Any recommendations?
Thank you for view! Speakers are ok, i lived long time with two MC275, but sold it, want solid state end. What kind of non-fatiguing amp with at least 200 W/8 ohm channel do you suggest?
You can buy what ever you like, based on design or features. Anything with Dirac would be my choice. Then you can adjust the sound to your liking. You probably also don't need 200W.
It seems like the D-series actually measure quite good based on the D830. I have the Jamo R907, and they have a really bad elevated treble level, and some of the newer Jamos also measure quite bad.
Here are some measurements of the Jamo Concert 8 bookshelf speaker. I think the MSRP was $2.400 / pair back in 1997, but I'm not sure (~$4.696 today). My measurements are quasi-anechoic, with port+woofer corrected for baffle edge diffraction, combined with gated 1m measurements. Looks...
Fatigue is psychology and nobody knows what personally fatigues YOU. Most rap/hip-hop tends to annoy/fatigue me but some people listen to it all day!
And since all good amps simply amplify (unless they have tone controls/EQ that you using to adjust the sound) they sound alike and will fatigue you equally.
