Ask me questions.

Previous issues have been addressed and for some time now there hasn't been reports of issues regarding amplifiers. If there's new issues regarding Topping products you can post them here.

An official representative(which I wasn't) is here @TOPPING. She will come to the forum every day and hopefully give replies to questions.

OK, noted, looks nice!
Is she @TOPPING starting a new thread? OR just continuing this thread?

Nice to hear so, but at least to me, your absence "For the past half year or so" was too long and disappointing in cosideration of the title of this thread "Ask me questions".

In any way, I do hope we would be able to keep our smooth and useful communication here on this thread (otherwise, you would be better to tentatively close this thread by yourself, not by the ASR moderator(s).
I think we should give the new Topping representative a test drive and see how things go. It's the most practical, mutually beneficial way and it's the right thing to do in this circumstance.

@JohnYang1997 @TOPPING
I think you should check your support again before being so sure, I recommend PA7 to someone close and that unit started showing muffled sound and occasionally cracking sound in about 10/11 months.
We reported that to amazon seller and sent recordings which were then sent to Topping support. Later then they asked to send the product to China for repair on customer’s expense but we didn’t send as unit was almost 10/11 months old and no one can guarantee that even repaired unit won’t have same issues after couple of months when warranty is gone, sending unit from US to china isn’t cheap anyway to consider throwing that money as considerable risk.
I personally totally like Topping products as I own many but something like this is completely discouraging.

What's also discouraging is that's not uncommon for even US built Schiit hardware to malfunction-hopefully not catastrophically. Expect to get the quality you pay for.

Where is your proof?> Before you spout off rubbish you better have proof.

I don’t know if you are commenting on my post or something in general, but you aren’t wrong.
In relation to my post, 450$ for a tpa3255 amplifier isn’t cheap and I am talking about an issue occurred within warranty period.
And issue isn’t that it failed, issue is the way Topping are responding to it and way of providing after sales services.
Anyways….

Is this original PA5 or PA7? PA7 should not have that issue.
Apar from that warranty of our amplifiers have all been extended to 2 years. If any issue happens to the device, normally you get replacement if you buy from local resellers like Apos(NA), Audiophonics(EU), addicted to audio(AU). Amazon(some stores), aliexpress, shenzhenaudio can be a little different as the sellers are located in China. To get best service, buy from local resellers.
At any rate, for this instance your friend may still have to send back the unit for us to fix it. Your friend pays for the shipping to us, we pay for the shipping back to your friend.

Issue happens when you buy from resellers that are located in China. I know every time someone contact our service email regarding these issues. It's very not often people come to us for these issues. So it's almost always the issue of the resellers (happened a lot) not giving satisfactory service. As far as I know local resellers like Apos, audiophonics, addicted to audio have very good service overall.

Any news on this, @JohnYang1997 @TOPPING ?

Is it safe to buy a used A70 Pro that has the latest firmware updates, or is there a risk that it will die (e.g., "HP DC abnormal" error or anything else that requires sending it back to China)?

Thanks
That issue was solved last year. Every new unit should not have that problem.

@JohnYang1997 part of the issue for Americanized and Euro people is they blame the manufacturer for not keeping their accounts in-line. The manufacturer is the source. For the manufacturer to blame game appears shady. I'm just telling you how it appears to some people. :D

Well that's a huge known issue and that's not going to be solved for some time.(we are trying to prevent that issue for our Professional line) I am not necessarily blaming. But just stating the cause and giving recommendation. The recommendation is to buy from APOS, audiophonics, addicted to audio. It would be a bad response if there's no solution.

Thanks for responding.
It is PA7, and seller was Aoshida Audio (I think). They never clarified with 2 yr warranty and I know they he has now already invested in another brand monoblock pair.
I will forward this conversation to him if he is willing to go for repair under warranty (but I doubt).
Anyways, thanks.
