Why do I see "ASIO not active"? How can I make it active?

Windows 10 Pro, 20H2, OS build 19042.685

How can I make it active?

Play music with software that uses the ASIO driver?

What does it show then?

I have Audirvana on my mac. On my Windows machine, I do not have any hi-fi player.

I just tried VLC media player. Topping USB Audio Device Control Panel did not display that ASIO is active.

You are interfacing to it with default sound control, ASIO will be 'active' by using ASIO output in a compatible application.. VLC media player is not.
