You did say 'whatever floats yer boat', well this album nearly flips my ship I'll link to the soundcloud post, otherwise you can easily find it on beatport.com. I don't think all album artists are asian but nevertheless..
Y'all are rockin my boat pretty good so far! And I'm luvin it.
Ran across this performance while browsing some more videos from KBS's Sketchbook, which often has good live acts. Mamamoo fans should especially check this out, I think. Cuz these ladies are quite good, and also do nice harmonies!
This is from a different show, but probably has the best sound imo...
Soprano Fatma Said won two classical Gramophone awards in 2021 (in the category "Young Artist Of The Year", and her album "El Nour" [Warner Classics] won the re-labeled "Song" category). She sings in multiple languages, and moves easily from classical to folk to pop.
Here, she sings "Aatini Al Naya Wa Ghanni" ("Bring Me The Flute and Sing", poetry by Kahlil Gibran). She is accompanied by an orchestra in this performance, but there are also other fine performances of the song by her on YouTube with piano accompaniment. As also performances of the same song by lots of other singers around the world, including a famous one by Fairuz.
Fatma also sings "Ana Bent El Sultan" on her album, which song has also been covered by other singers, and is apparently also a staple of belly dance music!
