Asian music & artists

Nice live performance from "Queendom 2" by Hyolyn, and Minyoung (of Brave Girls). The song is "To My Youth" by Bolbbalgan4.

This video (and the two that follow) has some rather loud sound effects at the beginning and end btw. So watch your volume at those points. I've pre-cued this, and the two videos following it, to start after the loudest effects at the beginning though.

Two videos from the choreography section of the show. Same caveat re sound effects on these. Song is "Tell Me Now", performed by Loona, and Eunji of Brave Girls.

A long time ago I think my first Asian artist I picked up on was Tomita via his The Planets interpretation. I was quite the Laserium fan back then, too, how I got introduced to Holst's work in the first place. The only other particular asian artist recordings I've collected are Hiromi and Stomu Yamash'ta....

I've fallen a bit behind of late. But emjoying all of the different things people are bringing to the table here. Including some of the more offbeat, eclectic, and progressive artists posted by seka, spigot, Doodski, and others. So thank you again to all those who've posted here.

Beware, this might be too strange for some.

Marsh Mallow is a rather unknown band of rather known singers : Yoko Ueno, Akino Arai, Megumi Maruo, Tamao Fujii & Reichi. They recorded two albums quite hard to find in CD (I personally have only one). Don't know about digital.
When I first listen to this album, I might have been in a really good mood, because I didn't move a finger from start to finish. It still does this to me sometimes. During Ame ga futeru, you can actually hear each of the singer in a different space, as if they were in a line in front of you. Great mastering, imo.

The second album, mingle mangle is almost as good, to my ears obviously.

I recommend to explore the channel of vanjmusic (he has a blog too). I found other lovable bands like turan., The Eccentric opera, Arai Akino or zabadak.

More from Yoko Ueno :

And one last weird stuff :

Liked all the above, seka.
