AsciLab speakers are about to launch

If you're playing in a small church a Wurlitzer organ is probably a better fit than the pipe organ Bach played in the Blasius Church in Muhlhausen.

If you add subwoofers and a capable power amp for the AsciLab A6B for the remaining money (17710€) to match the price of the Sigberg Audio Saranna, which system do you think will have the better chance of filling the larger church with sound? :)

Don't know much about the Sigberg, but I'm pretty sure the A6b with a big sub will give away little if anything to most floor standers. If I get them when they become available in the States, I will pair them with my two SVS SB 2000's using Dirac DLBC for the high/low pass, and I'll let everyone know how that pairing works. I'm thinking the comparisons are to the Sointuvas and the Kef Reference 1's.

Our full Purifi equipped S6B will be the top notch bookshelf. Can’t imagine better than this as 2 way 6” bookshelf league.

Final waveguide and grille moulding is produced recently and we are preparing mass production. Though the stocks are very less for the first batch. But the result will be worth to wait.

Hi @AsciLab hope all is going well.
Do you have any product updates for us? I am particularly interested in the C8T. Can you tell us what the dimensions will be and a clue regarding pricing? Thanks.
C8T is still developing.
It needs a few months more to be released.
But we are sure that it will be a strong competitor in floor-standing speaker range.

Any good news on the cardioid designs?
C8T will have the controlled directivity pattern like cardioid speakers down to 150-200Hz.
It is rarely seen in passive design without passive cardioid hole. Most close design is KEF Blade.

That sounds great, but I was referring to the C6C and bass stands. Anything you can share?

C8C(name changed from C6C, 8” for the side subwoofer) is developing too. Bass stand will be next.

this might actually beat the KEF reference 1 Meta. Wider, smoother, constant directivity and if the A6B data with the same woofer translates to the S6B it will have a bit more output below 40hz at lower distortion. The only thing going for the KEF is that it’s driver is more point source like due to being coaxial and maybe outer design depending on your preferences. Can’t wait to decide between both ones the full measurements and prices are released.

does anyone else provide any "instant compression" test like erin? The Reference 1 Meta has basically reference level compression characteristics above 60 hz i think and actually perfect above 200hz, don't see any data like that for the A6B or any other ascilab speakers tbh (only long term multitone). The C6B for example suffers more compared to the Q Concerto meta though I wonder how audible it is till 96 db lol

But yeah, apart from perhaps that capability and vertical positioning, this seems to be better.

Personally, I prefer a slightly narrower dispersion, but this beamwidth graph is still fascinating to look at.

Nice! Cant wait to see the klippel Data, so curious about the vertical radiation pattern and multitone distortion, how it compares to the A6B and what the -3/-6/-10db the Tower reach :) youre Like Hifi Santaclause of the century :D

Did you catch the spins on the early test version? Darn good start IMHO.

Has anyone taken delivery of A6Bs, how much did they cost usd and what was tariff/shipping portion of the cost?
If not, when is expected availability and price to the door?
They look perfect for me until a lack of production resources pushes my anticipation to frustration if I hear something like March, May or July as an expected delivery date.
What is going on? Are any Ascilab speakers available in decent quantities?

Will this better performing tweeter allow you to lower the crossover frequency below 1khz? Or would another factor limit performance if you did this?

Basically no. We have waited a few months to get our allocation and first real shipment will arrive end of this month. There is no outlook for more right now. Let alone new models.

I await the day you post that A6bs are in stock and plentiful and we have a definitive price which at least is somewhat close to the initial cost of $2900. Inasmuch as Korea was able to secure a favorable trade agreement with he-who-shall-not-be-named in exchange for the Burger King Crown, my hopes are high.

Nuyes in his review of the A6b posted this and, as you can see, compression does not seem to be a problem
