AsciLab speakers are about to launch

Is there a chance that the S6C might be enough for full range playback in a small 4x4m room at around 70db average listening level at 2m when placed directly at front wall with acceptable distortion?

If yes that’s gonna be my endgame speaker.

You can push them over 90dB too.
 
will there be a possibility of repair within reasonable costs when a electronic part in a 10k+ speaker like the S6C dies after warranty period ended?
 
Speaking purely personally if out of warranty parts were needed they would only be at my cost.
Having said that I wouldn’t expect anything to fail in normal use.

I am hugely enthusiastic with AsciLAB and so is everyone so far who has heard them.
I hope Phil Ward is equally enthusiastic about the A6B.

I found that Audiophonics can't sell Ascilab to USA. I inquired about getting some grilles for my C6B, they said they can't. And Ascilab won't sell them directly to me either, so I need to wait until amirm is placing another order with them.
 
Would like to see an optimized AsciLab design with the dynamic capabilities similar to the S360. Please.

Isn't S360 refined enough? Don't think ASCILabs could come up with a better price too.

No offence to the company, I think you're doing great things.

Vertical directivity has strong cancellations and the resulting listening windowd for optimal direct sound is very narrow on the S360.

It would be a complex project. Custom waveguide for a compression driver, 10" woofer. Not easy.

Our pre-order is being manufactured and should be ready in a couple of weeks for shipment. Then it will be a slow journey across the ocean (about 4 weeks). And some unknown customs processing, etc. So best case is end of October but likely, early November.
