NoDoes anyone else think some wood veneer (or wood effect) options would be a nice addition to the available finishes?
1. would increase price
2. is not a point of question so far

Fair point but most hifi brands offer wood finishes so I thought it worth mentioning. With 1K up?
Maybe not a big enough market. Who knows? I think wood is still very popular based on what other manufacturers are producing.I think the real question is if there's a big enough market for wood veneer finishes to make it worth it. I would guess no, as that sort of look is out of fashion amongst most people, with the possible exception of the group colloquially known as "old farts".
Yeah, with serious markups generally for both the material costs as well as the tooling/labor I would think. In any case, AsciLab can't even keep up with their current demand so probably too soon to worry about such things.Maybe not a big enough market. Who knows? ascilab is still struggling to fulfill current demand. that's not the time to be adding new cosmetic options haha.I think the real question is if there's a big enough market for wood veneer finishes to make it worth it. Nice!!!I have some experiences of comparing air core coil and iron core coil. I was using them for midrange and I matched the curve same each other. Then I recorded two of them separately to compare speedly. It was quite interesting. Though they had almost same response with only different H3 distortion, the sound was quite different. As subjective words, air core one has smooth, moisture, transparent sound. But the other one using iron core coil has more aggressive, thin, harsh sound.
Indeed, I also suggested that some time ago. But not the typical dark american walnut veneer, maybe something like buchardt is doing, also focal sopra. Would be much nicer in the living room and I´m willing to pay more for that.Does anyone else think some wood veneer (or wood effect) options would be a nice addition to the available finishes?
I seem to recall it coming up a couple times in this thread but I'd hope it's way down on the list for Ascilab. No

Yes! Scandi style and modern. I love what Buchardt offer with finishes.Indeed, I also suggested that some time ago. But not the typical dark american walnut veneer, maybe something like buchardt is doing, also focal sopra. Would be much nicer in the living room and I´m willing to pay more for that.
Yes +++. I’m willing to pay for it, but it has to be real wood veneer.Does anyone else think some wood veneer (or wood effect) options would be a nice addition to the available finishes?
They have a large range in development, available in various colourways - a herculean task for the company. I rather doubt that veneer options are in their calendar.Yes +++. I’m willing to pay for it, but it has to be real wood veneer.
I've used the Fosi V3 Mono for the C6B (85 dB vs 82 dB for the A6B), they were burning hot after a couple of hours playing. I sent them back. Sound was fine though.I don't know if this is the right place for this question, but I'll take a chanceWill something like the fosi V3 mono, squeezing out 230W@4Ohm, be good enough for A6B type speakers, or do you need something with even more kick?
Note how I didn’t ask Ascilab directly if they are considering veneer options, but simply asked the forum if that would appeal to them. After Erin's review of the KEF Blade Two I rather fancied some - but I'm waiting for them to make them in rosewood veneer. Wonder how long I'll have to wait?![]()
If they apply such at Blade, next step is to apply it to the similar Burj Al Arab:They have a large range in development, available in various colourways - a herculean task for the company. I rather doubt that veneer options are in their calendar.
