In case it wasn't clear, not only are the tolerances tight, they aren't predictable. So EQing based on an anechoic sample of one doesn't make sense. The method is at home, in room, with your speakers and microphone.Case in point, @Nuyes measured (gated, nonanechoic) 10 samples of the A6B, plotting the difference vs. Ascilab's reference sample.

AsciLab A6B Review
I sincerely apologize for the significant delay in posting this review. Thank you to everyone who patiently waited. This review marks a milestone, as it is the first time I’ve measured a total of 11 samples simultaneously, thanks to the collaboration of the manufacturer and...www.audiosciencereview.com
It is significantly cheaper if you order directly from AsciLab....at least for me in Germany. So still tempted but waiting for measurements of S6B and C6C.A6B is now listed at Audiophonics. Unfortunately with a disproportionate price jump to 3790€. That makes it very unattractive for me.
The Money more to the AsciLab Homepage does not correlate with the C6B. Thats dissapointing and not less Money then all other purifi speakers.![]()
ASCILAB A6B Bookshelf Speakers Black (Pair)
The AsciLab A6B are passive bookshelf speakers offering precise, powerful sound reproduction in a compact format.www.audiophonics.fr
(3000 USD + shipping) x 1.2 (VAT)... I don't think it's significantly lower, maybe a couple of hundred less.It is significantly cheaper if you order directly from AsciLab....at least for me in Germany. So still tempted but waiting for measurements of S6B and C6C.
Please read exactly.people comparing the price to other passive purifi using speakers.. remember in addition to the purifi woofer on the front, it has TWO purifi passive radiators with the special surrounds.. I think most purifi woofer using speakers use much cheaper passive radiators from other brands. might the purifi radiators yield some benefits? it definitely looks cool and screams "hi I'm a purifi speaker with woofers pointing in three directions"![]()
AP includes VAT.Please read exactly.
Which other speaker do you mean exactly? The Radiant Clarity or the March Audio have both 2 passive purifis.
I was complaining about the high price at Audiophonics, not from the AsciLab Homepage, thats a better and fair price of course. Just wondering that the audiophonics margin could be very high and seems much higher than from the c6b. Just to be clear.
Of course they do. Even with vat (19%for Germany) and shipping (~300€?) direct from your ascilab Homepage is 460€ less.AP includes VAT.
AP and we try to keep very similar price range.Of course they do. Even with vat (19%for Germany) and shipping (~300€?) direct from your ascilab Homepage is 460€ less.
Whatever, i can Order direct from AsciLab and be Happy. Dont wanted to start a discussion, Just wanted to show up the news/ facts. Thx.
I suspect that it may be partly due to the instability of the USD-EUR exchange rate. They were nearly at parity 6 months ago. If AP wants to avoid changing their prices on a weekly basis, they’ll need to build in some buffer room. Plus service, etcFor myself, assuming shipping is 300 usd and VAT is 20%, then (2950+300) x 1.2 = 3900 usd = 3310€. AP sells at 3790€.
From a positioning standpoint, discarding performance consideration, it went from significantly undercutting Buchardt E50 and Clarity 6.2 (both 4000€) to being in the same price category.
As I understand it, shipping costs are included in the price when ordering directly from AsciLab. And with the strong Euro at this very moment, the price in Germany (19% VAT) would be around 3000 Euro. For myself, assuming shipping is 300 usd and VAT is 20%, then (2950+300) x 1.2 = 3900 usd = 3310€. They changed the price on the F and C series to include shipping cost, they haven't yet on the A6B.As I understand it, shipping costs are included in the price when ordering directly from AsciLab. Comparison of available models.I was curious and decided to extract data and compare multitone distortion measurements across AsciLab, @Nuyes and Erin. AsciLab and Nuyes measure at 85dB, while Erin measures at 87dB. Keep that in mind.
