AsciLab speakers are about to launch

Is there some logic to the model numbers? If there is, could you share?

Front alphabet? is the model range?
I think the digit is the woofer size, no?
Back alphabet is version? C=MTM? B=2way, C=2.5way?
The first letter of the model name indicates the product category, classified by the following tiers:

  • S = Signature model, consisting exclusively of Purifi units
  • A = Purifi Aluminum woofer and a ceramic-aluminum tweeter
  • C = Ceramic-aluminum woofer and a ceramic-aluminum tweeter
  • F = Fiber woofer and an aluminum tweeter

The middle number represents the size of the main woofer (in inches).

The final letter denotes the enclosure type:
  • B = Bookshelf
  • C = Cardioid

In addition, there are the BX8C and BX10C models, where "BX" stands for "Bass Extend Stand," the number indicates the woofer size, and "C" refers to "Cardioid."

If yes I wonder how much would it be?))
There are 4 Purifi drivers in each speaker + tweeter.
I guess we will know soon enough… they said the international sales website should be up in April. Hopefully the direct-to-consumer pricing is competitive…

@AsciLab: No threaded Inserts for driver mounting?

My first order is all black/black.

Any estimation on minimum impedance for the S6B?

That's for A6C, it shouldn't be much different (or is it?)

You should be more interested in EPDR though.

Thanks. But you meant A6B as this made me wonder until I spotted the correct model on the screenshot.
No worries, that helps!

When you say "cardioid down to 40Hz" for the BX10C, how are you defining that? For example, Kii Three CD spec is "4.8dB (54Hz – 1kHz, slowly rising thereafter)"

Will the cardioid model DSPs offer any boundary settings similar to Kii or D&D?

We call the cardioid extension range before being fully omnidirectional.

They will have 9 band parametric EQ.
