AsciLab speakers are about to launch

Ok, fine. I apologize if I was a trifle harsh, but, I did find it concerning that nothing in the way of updates seemed to coming out, and with it being a new start up, those concerns were magnified. I obviously am very enthusiastic about their products, and if they can deliver on their promises, one of their models will definitely find its way to my very short prospective upgrade list. And no, the cash allocated for that upgrade is not burning a hole in my pocket, but I would just like to be given a reasonable expectation of when we can expect things to start occurring. As I'm sure we all would. Look forward to seeing the day when sales are thrown open to the rest of the world.
Just a random poster on the Internet, here, but:

No. This attitude is not helpful, either for someone making products, or for other customers, or for your own happiness and wellbeing. Your strong implication that you are owed this information is not correct.

A business based on creating real products, with enormous amounts of research and development, but thinking also of manufacturing, supply chain, shipping, customer service, after-sales service, value against competitors and a thousand other things is ALREADY incentivised to do the right thing for their customers, and these kinds of posts DO NOT do anything other than make you look foolish.

Let them carry on with their project, serving their customers. If they choose never to offer their products in your part of the world, so be it, and I would respect that. I suggest you do so too.

(I know you'll ignore this, but I had to write it anyway.)

Wow some of you guys are overreacting in a such dramatic way, he just asked a normal questions. Add me as a interested party, if you want to call me names because of it then fine, maybe it takes some of the heat from phoenixdogfan

To be honest, one can build a very simple informative website with models, pictures, specs and measurements, about us and a "coming soon international" disclaimer in a few hours of work. Already goes a long way. It's the modern business card and folder of a company, especially a new one.

Let’s move on now. We asked for civility. We did not say that you can’t ask about status. Just do so in a civil and respectful manner. Further posts about this will be removed.

Not quite yet, but I am certain it will come.
Keith

I have been quietly following this thread. Like me, most likely you will need a translator app to follow. It looks like the local demand is absorbing all of the supply. There seem to be some talk about capacity expansion.

There is a website listing AsciLab products -- here. I don't think they sell overseas.

( I am not affiliated with them. I am eagerly following their developments, and may purchase something that fit my needs when they open up for international sales. )
@ckernel8 , look at this post. Theyre also on Instagram, but more in Research and developing Status. They posted lately about the new mtm.

I am super, super interested in their Kii Three (or Amphion or even Dynaudio Core) style monitor product with a sub unit that acts as a stand for and perfectly matches the style of the MTM bookshelf monitor.

Hello guys. Sorry to not be here in long time.
Lot of things have been going on.
We’re preparing initial international models. All of model we sell in local is too many.

Our active cardioid model, C6C also one of them. It is developing further more.
Here are some results measured today.

Some size and shape are differed.
To fit the size bass module, much wider than previous prototype. This will be almost final version.

I could really feel their pain in #5 of the title. NFS takes 2 hours for a single scan, meaning they spent over 10 hours measuring just one speaker. And the simulation? That probably took way longer.
Watching them design the waveguide and cardioid themselves, I could sense an almost obsessive dedication to constant directivity speaker design.

Wow, really impressive.

"Almost final version"

also:

*already vastly better than most finished speakers on the market*

The bass distortion looks really low for a cardioid design. Very interesting...

Thank you for noticing our effort :)
Yeah. It need 2 hours per one measurement and simulations need lot of trial and error.
But after all these we are being closer to our goal.

Yes. We are proud of that low distortion too. Comparing with all the other cardioid speakers on market, above 100Hz we have extremely low distortion, especially at mid bass which cardioid pattern is made.

Is it possible to use C6C as a standalone speaker?

Or use it with a regular subwoofer?

How long would that one measurement take if you were to perform it by hand, without the Klippel?

It can’t be calculated. Because without klippel NFS, I can’t get the exact bass response unless going out and ground plane measurement or hanging the speaker 10m height from the floor :)
