AsciLab speakers are about to launch

Ascilab is cooking an MTM model.

Sound power looks a bit better than the classic two way. It is a much larger speaker though.

Nice!!

It is DSP active MTM/Cardioid model. Still in progress. It was simulated response but I assure there will be similar result.

Happy New Year!

I saw the pictures of the cardioid model ... very nice drawing ...

Hi @AsciLab , happy new year ;)
Any updates for entering the european market?
@Audiophonics could be a great partner to sell your speakers or soundimports.eu
Did you saw the Question :) cant wait :D

That mtm Looks Like a outstanding Studio Monitor, also curious about it, also for the distortion measurements but thats for a own thread. For me the A6B is more interesting because of deeper Bass down to 32hz at 75db and a smaller Box.

Excellent work as always, is everything ok with you, politically things appear to be calmer now?
Best,
Keith

Oh Sorry to miss that. Our goal is to sell worldwide in this year. Maybe from March as we hope. We don’t have EU dealers yet. I’ll regard both of them too. Thanks for recommending.

And yes. A6B has much deeper bass extension than that prototype. But the model has cardioid pattern. That must be helpful to get smooth in room response.

Now you've got my attention. The only reason that kept me from your previous speakers was curiosity about cardioid. If the actual product comes out anywhere near as good on NFS I'll be one of the first in line, especially as I know that is the sort of sound power trend I like.

Ascilabs were developing a cardioid bass module for the active A6b

So it will be possible to start with an A6b passives, upgrade to active by swapping out the back plate, then add the cardioid bass modules at a later point as further upgrades?

Our cardioid prototype model is developing. Cardioid pattern can reach to about 80Hz. Overall DI curve is also very smooth and flat.
This model is regarded to be combined with Bass Stand module. That will have cardioid bass pattern too.
When it crossed at 200Hz, and keep the directivity down to 50Hz, then it will be full range, cardioid, ultra low distortion system.

full range, cardioid, ultra low distortion system
Sounds great!
I am contemplating building (assembling) an ultra-low distortion setup but maybe yours will be quicker, easier and cheaper!
Are you thinking 2025 or later, AsciLab?

I compared the c6c with commercially available cardioid speakers.

The order is kii3 - c6c - 8c - point zero - cdm65.
They are arranged based on the lower frequency limit of the cardioid pattern.
Excluding the bandwidth, the c6c seems to be the best option. (di is remarkable)

Any thoughts on price, or too early?
The selection of components for the product has not yet been finalized, so it is difficult to determine the selling price at this stage. In our internal meeting, we set a target price of $10,000 for the 'C6C $4000 + Bass Stand $6000' including worldwide shipping, excluding VAT for each country, but it is still too early to confirm whether this will be feasible.
