Curious - is there a power handing spec or power rating for the A6B?
Thanks so much! I'm running a pair of 1ET400A in mono and I'll gladly trade efficiency for extension. The long term power handling spec of the woofer is 200W, that of tweeter 100W.
Ascilab was doing 32V multitone testing.
My guess is that that we're going to land around 200-250W in the spec sheet. The Purifi woofer is remarkably low efficiency (though it's a good engineering trade off for what it can do) so it's going to need a lot of power to perform well.
ThebC5b and the C6b will be available for sale before Christmas, while only a limited quantity of the A6b will be available before Christmas. Can I order it in Europe now? Or need wait Christmas
The Wtw center is also a priority in development.Just waiting for a WTW center channel to order a front trio.
Very disciplined inductor orientation, nice work. Nice to see a passive network with no compromises, but without ostentatious audiophile components.View attachment 397241
This is the crossover network used in the A6B. The size of the PCB is 275mm x 105mm (10.83 inches x 4.13 inches).
It will be the same in Germany sadly. But I sincerely hope, that ASR, EAC and others are slowly changing the game to a more measurement related approach to Hifi and obviously Ascilabs effort proves that. I am sure, that more manufacturers will follow this path.....Ascliab are easily amongst the most ‘switched on’ nimble, agile, innovative loudspeaker manufacturers I have ever come across.
They deserve success, my only fear is that here in the U.K. (where technical knowledge is non-existent) and speakers are for the most part still selected by ‘lucky dip’ that the majority will not realise just how good they are.

Something is going on.something about a project with the purify tweeter?
Yes! Hoping for an update from @Nuyes soon! Can't wait to see third party measurements of the A6 passive
I have a strange question - can the tops of the binding posts be completely unscrewed/removed to accept a 1/4" ring terminal?
The backside with the binding posts.
The aluminum plate is finished with a polished hairline and secured with round-head screws. The serial number is a paper sticker.

People never heard of Kii or D&D, or Neumann, Genelec, Revel, or Kef before they created their commercial products. So give it time. Ascilab looks very promising, but the proof will of course come when they launch their products, achieve some sales, and prove themselves able to deliver on the promise. I'm optimistic they will, and I may put my money where my mouth is sometime next year. But a lot has to happen before that, obviously. But let's be optimistic. This could be the beginning of the same kind of price and quality breakthrough we've been witnessing with amplifiers and dacs. Let's hope so.Pricing is quite competitive and reasonable.
An Ascilab stand in a Hi-Fi show or a magazine review in order to raise awareness of the brand and its technical pedigree will help.
And maybe things will pick up from there.
Nobody knew Q-Acoustics 15 years ago and look at them now.
Maybe they'll also force the others that you mention into better pricing.People never heard of Kii or D&D, or Neumann, Genelec, Revel, or Kef before they created their commercial products.
