AsciLab speakers are about to launch

One other suggestion would be to configure the app for auto start with computer boot up. In my setup I turn on computer and Roon, GLM, HLConvolver, Matrix Audio etc. all run straight away- I can just listen and adjust from phone.

Wondering about the hub concept. Does this just become a Pre with added hypex functionality? But can not bring in multiple sources?
Not sure I like the idea of volume control being dependent on wifi as well.

These days a lot of people use pre/dacs with built in streamer and built in volume control, also allows other inputs. I wonder if you can setup your software in something like an Eversolo or WiiM?

I have an RME soundcard in my audio pc. Means i can bring in digital output from cd player, turntable/waxwing via AES inputs. Together with streaming audio options -output via AES to an Okto dac. This allows AES output to speakers with great remote volume control in the Okto. Adding your app has given me complete control of everything!

Thank you for sharing the detail experiences.

About the hub, what I’m thinking of is more like GLM kit. For now it won’t have network audio feature or a Preamp. It will be a central hub to combine and control the speakers and can be connected by wifi, I’ll try to figure out to combine with physical remote controller.

For now trying to improve volume control speed in app and add Auto start option.
I’ll share the newest version soon.

Retesting with the newest version of the App the little issues I had seen have been corrected, firmware-update with the Hypex-File was also successful. The Mac-Version seems complete to me :)
With the smartphone-control (Android phone), if you push the volume +/- button multiple times, it takes a while for the speakers to adjust, I don't know if that can be improved.

Tried the latest beta.
Couple of suggestions
- Show which version is running in the app header, was not sure if it updated initially
- Volume control via android phone is much better, less lag and finer control. Iam using a Samsung. Can the volume and mute be controlled by phone side buttons rather than switching on phone screen and navigating to web page?
- system tray controls work fine
- still does not autostart when i switch on my windows pc. Need to manually open app on computer to have android phone control. There is no option to select Ascilab remote in startup app selection menu?

Did you update the Hypex amp firmware with a Hypex firmware file? Does this leave the Ascilab filter settings? Or do you need to update the whole package with a Ascilab provided firmware file?

I am currently running Ascilab V1.1 with Hypex V5.7

I updated the Hypex firmware to 5.82, this does not affect the Asiclab filter settings, so V1.1 stays the same (that would be updated via a .a5p Package by Ascilab).

Works fine in my setup with version 0.15.4

I would like to thank @AsciLab again for providing this great app to their customers as a free add-on. Kudos!
Functionality is much better than the original Hypex HFD software.

Initially I was hesitant to invest in C8C & BX8C - although the products measure very good, the company is young and not as established as some other manufacturers - however, my experience with customer support so far has been extremely positive.

Yeah, just updated from 0.15.2 to 0.15.4. Autostarts fine, including phone connection.

Its size is WHD : 220x1300x350mm (without outrigger)
Hi @AsciLab,

i try again.
Could you please share some information about the height of the 2-way center? What will the height be if I lay it horizontally? Also, which center would match the C6B best, the 2-way or a 3-way center? Sound-wise and overall, or is it just a matter of what fits best in my room?

Appoxiately 500x185x150mm (WHD)(Edited). 2-way center fits to C6B, 3-way center is much bigger and higher performance.

Compared to the 850x320x350mm WHD dimensions stated earlier in the thread for the 3-way, that is indeed a huge size difference. Hoping we get some pricing details and release date info on the center channel models soon, for budgeting purposes.

So the depth of the 2-way center has been changed to 18.5 cm now?

Although the difference isn't significant, I remember it was 15 cm before. I just wanted to double-check and confirm.
