AsciLab speakers are about to launch

With that said, even if it's probably an excess of caution on my part, I think it would be prudent to make sure it doesn't overheat or do funny things with any content, especially non-musical content that contain a lot of high frequency (mostly thinking of some special effects in movies and video games).
Hopefully the manufacturer has abused them horribly so they are confident they can cope. I've no real idea how manufacturers test this properly other than have a party and crank them up for hours.

They have an open listening room for music and movies, so I'm pretty sure they have experience with such situation :)

Power tests.

Distorsions seem to be mostly flat (same value) about all frequencies at 31.82 V, so should be seen as minimum level to achive harmonic listening ;)
But back on topic: what is that hump at 300+Hz at low V (10 or so) that disappears above ~ 10 V (the dip 2K to 5K is aprreciated, but also remarkable).

Do I correctly understand that the A6, the passive with the Purifi woofer, will not be available for sale to potential US customers?

I know you are answering a lot of questions, and you seem to be doing great, but I wonder about upcoming speakers:
I'd love an ultra-ultra-low distortion active 3-way speaker- what do you think about that?
We are considering many of designs.
Extended bass module, 3-way models, compact sealed cardioid, etc.

Purifi 8-10” also be used.

Lovely!!

what sort of form factor are you considering?

Landscape like ATC SCM25?
Portrait (maybe swapable to landscape) like PSI Audio A23M?

I'd love / hate to see a Purifi 10" in a design like this.

Love because the performance will probably be insane.

Hate because I definitely can't talk my wife into having such a thing in the house. :D

The spike set for Ascilab speakers has also been completed. It has not yet been decided whether it will be included as a standard feature or offered as an optional choice.

Since I wouldn't need it (I use iso acoustic decouplers) I would vote for optional, but that's just me. Do they use some sort of spring suspension? They don't look like classic spikes obviously....

Very smart but they look like adjustable feet rather than spikes?
Feet are much more useful in my opinion .

Although it's not yet finalized, we are sharing a concept image for the bass stand designed to enhance bass extension.

When connected to Ascilab passive bookshelf speakers, the bass stand can enhance bass extension.

When connected to Ascilab active bookshelf speakers, it can achieve a cardioid pattern in the bass stand range.

Once the three-way bookshelf speaker supporting cardioid is released, it can be combined with the bass stand to create a full-range cardioid pattern.

Please note that this is still a simple concept and the details are subject to change at any time.

That is superb, really connected thinking and design.
