AsciLab speakers are about to launch

Yet probably still narrower than the screen it'll be sitting under
Sure, but the center channel speaker isnt supposed to be as wide as the screen...
I just used a measuring tape comparing it to the C8Cs and imagine it's placement below my TV, and no, it would look very much out of place, at least in my setup.

Yup, plenty of big centers
Kef Reference 4 : 21 x 109 x 46 cm
Arendal 1528 Center+ 8 : 29 x 135 x 55 cm
Perlisten S(R) 7c : 24(23) x 96(92) x 30 cm
Klipsch RC-64 : 20 x 91 x 38 cm
Sonus Vox G3 : 32 x 84 x 39 cm
B&W HTM81 : 33 x 85 x 37 cm
Focal Viva Utopia : 39 x 135 x 67 (???) cm

After optimizing the crossover more, There was a futher improvement of reducing midrange dispersion bump. The little dip in midrange in on-axis is disappeared.
After real measuremet with sample crossover, I'll share another measurement sets.

Thanks for the preview.
I read that you will release the F5ctr first. In the past I saw some concepts for the C5ctr, are these also in development?

Thanks, but I may overlook the answer in these posts, since I only see information about the F version of the upcomming center speaker.

I'm interested to know if there also will be an C version for these or if Ascilab switched to the F version and won't release a C version "soon".

No there will be the small 2 way and the big 3 way

Enclosure design is changed to sealed type to get shallow depth. So now the depth is 25cm.
Though the bass extension loses sub bass range but after considering the usability, we thought the shallow depth is more useful as a center speaker.
Further more, Overall DI especially midrange smoothness got better. Very smooth and linear dispersion is achieved.
A little bump at 270Hz is measurement artifact. We are figuring it out.
We'll share the distortion data soon with sample crossover. Thanks.

86.5dB sensitivity, F3 is around ~55Hz and only 25cm deep?

Sweet Liberty, that will be my new LCR.

I hope you can design Ascilab's logo with magnetic, so that the logo's orientation can be changed depending on how it is positioned.

oh I am alert for this. Seems promising

Such impressive engineering always, do you have a nomenclature for the new design, have I missed it?

Or removed entirely - some of us see names and logos on the front as useless clutter that detracts from the appearance of the speaker. It's fine on the back where it's not going to be seen all the time, and if anyone wants to know what they are I'll tell them.

. . . or make them self-leveling like the wheel caps on a Bentley/Rolls!

And for the C8T, We are re-designing the C8T as dual 5" driver, MTM placement. It makes the vertical dispersion more controlled and constant, yet wide enough.
Also allow more SPL due to x1.4 wider diaphragm area. Will share the result soon.

This looks extremely exciting. Are the dimensions established yet? I think the market is missing something similar in size to the Monitor Audio Silver 6 with a cabinet size of 200mm wide by 250mm deep and a height of whatever is required to make the speaker work.

Its size is WHD : 220x1300x350mm (without outrigger)

Thank you. It’s a bit deeper than I’d like, but I appreciate the outrigger design which appears to make the speaker wider and not deeper. That alleviates some of the space limitations I have. I think this will work within my small Asia apartment. The Silver 6 with plinth is 245mm x 300mm.
