I don't know when this change was enacted and if the C8C also benefits from it.

Does this mean that all future production of the C6B will adopt a "customized version" of the SB Acoustics mid-woofer driver?

Ascilab has confirmed previously in this thread that they select drivers from SB that fall within very specific parameters for all their speakers. I think this is them just marketing that.

While it may be difficult to fully satisfy both the technical, science-driven perspective and the more general audience at the same time, we will do our best to create a lineup infographic that is easy to understand for both sides.

Even within this thread, there have been people (including me, when I first read them) who were confused by or had a hard time keeping track of the current names. But I think we can assume that most readers here understand the difference between a fiber, ceramic, or purifi driver. To me, this suggests that the problem is with the shorthand itself, not what it stands for.

Here's my suggestion: before proceeding, with the rename, change only the presentation: rename the speakers publicly (on the product page titles) to use the non-abbreviated names, leaving the short version as the model number (F6B → Fiber 6 Bookshelf; C8C → Ceramic 8 Cardioid). See if that helps -- because, to a certain extent, I think the pricing identifies the tiers on its own -- and then proceed with the rename only if confusion remains.

Because a recent post from Ascilab said they were having logistic problems with supplies and will continue to, I guess due to shipping/manufacturing of component's etc.

On this current course this may not be solved for months and into next year. Although disappointing the situation could actually finish some businesses. Some on here continue to almost harass Ascilab for delivery dates etc.

Sorry couldn't help myself with comment because in reality its the cause with no end in sight for all of us.

We are due to get some of our orders as we placed them a while ago. Others though, are impacted by the world situation unfortunately. I am hoping we can get to some resolution by end of this month.

Every delivery is on time , they tell me when about to ship and they arrive 48 hours later always.

Is there any news or update on the Ascilab Center Speaker?

Additionally, Ascilab provided a 2025–2026 product catalog last year. May I ask whether there is currently an updated version of that catalog?

Also, are there any plans in the future to launch a bookshelf speaker at around USD 2,000, positioned to compete in the same price range as the KEF R3 Meta? For example, something like modifying the current C6B by replacing its passive radiator with 6.5 inch SB Acoustics passive radiator on each side.

Great idea on the updated catalog. The old one is so outdated and not reflective of real availability dates and prices it makes it virtually useless

They can’t make any of the others at anything like a useful rate. Don’t encourage them to be even slower.
