Thanks! Please remember to keep in mind my away dates.Your samples are here! I am getting stuff out of the way to review them.
I am indeed. Thanks! Please remember to keep in mind my away dates.
I haven't done the math. The maximum height I can test is close to 6 feet. Can you do C8C+BX8 together? Does it fit on the Klippel?
Amazing. How do you get to play your speakers in Korea at higher levels? All my friends tell me that playing anything above 65/70db is just not allowed in any apartment building. Even in standalone homes this is considered pretty difficult.Greetings from Korea! I’ve been using the C8C for about a month now.
As the published measurements suggest, the performance is highly impressive.
It’s a very well-engineered speaker, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
Please note that I am using a translator as my English is quite limited,
so I may have difficulty providing detailed answers to your questions.
Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks for sharing your impression. My report: I got my C8Cs last week. They replaced KEF R11s. I listen to stereo music through BACCH on top of Dirac ART. In ART I set no support to fronts, not even self-support, except the subwoofers. This is how I did before, this seems to be working well. I am quite happy, the imaging is really better, e.g. I like music by Turzo, but I always thought that this music, however beautiful, was not well recorded, but now I do not complain, I am happy with its spaciousness etc. The front speakers are around 5 ft from the rear wall, and similar distance from the side walls. There is even more space at the back of the room, and the room is treated with many absorption panels. Interestingly, the BACCH's XTC (cross-talk cancellation) value did not improve, stays around 14-15, but it sounds better.
I did have some problems with the speakers.
1. When I set the volume offset in the HFD software to +10 (from default +7), it forgot it next day, after the sleep.
2. I needed to force input to XLR, otherwise, just, say, 10 secs after stopping playing, it would go to some state with green LED blinking, (the manual says booting, ?) and would require a few secs to fully wake up again, creating problems when I was doing BACCH calibration.
So, far so good, I am looking forward to BX8C.
Thank you! I will try. Thanks for sharing your impression.
Here are the answers about your problem.
1. There is “volume on start” setting.
You can set the start volume or off that function in the device setting. You can find it easily. Then it won’t be forgot after sleep.
2. We set the default input setting as “Auto detect”. It needs a few sec to find the active signal. Blinking means it is waiting the signal. If you choose(force) specific input channel, it won’t be blinked and will play right away.
Where can I find HFD? I don't see any downloads on the AsciLab site1. When I set the volume offset in the HFD software to +10 (from default +7), it forgot it next day, after the sleep.
The link is in the manual.Where can I find HFD? I don't see any downloads on the AsciLab site
thank you for sharing. What was your first feeling when you plugged them in? I understand that my question is one that's not really meaningful on ASR but you know, you plug everything in, you sit down, and then something happens (or not). I suppose you've had the R11s for a while so you have *some* kind of memory of how your favorite tracks performed on them.My report: I got my C8Cs last week. They replaced KEF R11s. Don't forget the stickers: No hairspray allowed! No, I have not had time to listen to the sample that is here either. Put priority on shipping the speakers out to folks.
I doubt anyone has a better answer than Audiophonics, if they told you they don't have a precise delivery schedule yet, no one has a delivery schedule, they are the dealer for Europe, they are the best placed to answer your questions. I don't quite understand what you mean with "received a reaction", did you ask them and they answered? Did you just check the automated status update?Nice, so the first C8C's are arriving! I'm curious, did someone hear from audiophonics? I ordered early (31 december), and the last update was half march. Today I received a reaction they don't have any indication for the delivery schedule. That doesn't sound good.
That would make it even heavier, increasing the shipping cost even more. I agree we need more protection but hopefully not to that extent. A larger air gap between the inner and outer box plus plastic wrap may solve most of the problems.I do think the a speaker of this size and weight needs either flight case or wooden crate.
