I can’t afford to spend €529 on those stands, although they’re so beautiful.C6B, sorry.

So, the original back of the tweeter is not attached to the front of the tweeter and is merely held in place with the MDF board? Or did you take it apart?
Yes you are correct. The original 4 screws that bolt the front of the tweeter to the magnet are no longer used. So, the original back of the tweeter is not attached to the front of the tweeter and is merely held in place with the MDF board? Or did you take it apart?
Just trying to understand the construction.
Why did you solder the terminals? Did they use push-on tags before? Nowt wrong with this latter if properly crimped and firmly attached and these connections can last decades without seeming degradation...Well yes and no, The tweeter magnet is held in place by pushing it to the waveguide. It is very easy to damage the tweeter when disassembling. Absolutely doable, just not for everybody.
Here are some pics when I took them apart to solder the terminals.

Yes they use cable lugs, aluminium if I am not mistaken. Why did you solder the terminals? Did they use push-on tags before? Nowt wrong with this latter if properly crimped and firmly attached and these connections can last decades without seeming degradation...
Timeline update on my ASCILAB C6B order:
When I placed the order on Jan 12, the stated availability was end of January.
It later shifted to Mar 6–13, and as of today the order page shows Apr 30 – May 7.
After contacting Audiophonics.fr , they confirmed me the expected arrival to their warehouse is mid-March, with shipping once stock is in.
I don’t know what to think any more...View attachment 513773
It's all right, really. It shouldn't have made any difference in my experience, as the solder should arguably have the same resistance in it as a crimped tight push-on connector. I can't prove it obviously, but I remember so many classic amps of old that used tightly wrapped wire over a 'pin' for long-lived connectors which don't seem to go off over the decades. Not really the forum to

I did it for sq and it worked for me, highs became more detailed. I better stop here because of it being subjective.
Truly amazing speaker. With and without bx8chas anyone heard the C8C yet?
