AsciLab speakers are about to launch

Not sure if this was mentioned but I was wondering wether bx8c can be used with different speakers than ascilab. I could not find any manual for those so not quite sure about this. It would be nice to have that confirmed or get some technical/manual document.

No, they can't.

You can customize any speaker, driven by a hypex module, by it's own software ... of you are aware what you're doing...

My understanding of this is that it would be possible if Ascilab would allow us to edit some config instead of just exposing some locked preset. Is that the case?

Any particular reason fo this or reference of this information you’d want to share?
General knowledge about the design of the bass stand mostly..

Its crossover is configured so that it turns the C8C into a five-way speaker with a specific directivity pattern. It's not a generic subwoofer.

You could technically wipe out the saved crossover in the bass stand and upload your own, but it would become a generic subwoofer, and you'd better off buying just that.

Thanks! I understand it’s no ordinary subwoofer however I’m still curious what’s there to be setup in order this to work with other speakers that also have specific directivity. Then it would be matter of crossover and some timing adjustment? Or is there something more to it?

There are no speakers with the same directivity unless it's the exact same model or a reverse engineered clone.

Basically You can override any crossover of a hypex DSP ... if You know what You're doing ..

BX8C can’t be used with the other speaker.
It has quite complex filters. It is not stand alone cardioid subwoofer.

Hi Ascilab, how far in the writing are you with the manuals?

Looking for very stable speaker stands for AsciLab C6B.

Requirements:
High stability (two cats at home, so tipping resistance is critical) ,metal or aluminum construction with option to fill with sand, spikes or solid feet, height 60cm, top base surface that match the speakers base, ease to find and purchase in EU.

These look stable and a good match for the C6B's dimensions: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...eakers-are-about-to-launch.54794/post-2523081

Probably worth asking the author for the model.
