AsciLab speakers are about to launch

Very impressive!!! Can't remember a tweeter that has to work down to 1000 Hertz with so low distortion and without being loaded by a horn. Your waveguide seems to be a true work of art!

Yes, I am curious about this tweeter as well. Has it been disclosed who makes the tweeter? Not meaning to pry, just interested in its specs (Fs, Xmax, etc.).

And all that from the A6B for the "expected price: $2900 for pair", wow! o_O

Sointuva AWG ~4k usd.

I only ask because in terms of drivers they are similarish aren’t they?
Keith

I think it is the same extended range 6,5" woofer and PRs from Purifi, but different tweeters and waveguides yes.

Modified version of this, perhaps? https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/tweeters/sb-acoustics-sb26cdc-c000-4-alum-ceram-dome-tweeter/

If so, it looks like a very nice driver.
This explains the price difference: even though both use SB Acoustics tweeters, Sointuva AWG uses the Satori TW29BNWG beryllium dome (495 usd each) while A6B uses the SB26CDC-C000-4 Alum-Ceramic Dome (61 usd each).

Edit: animated GIF.

Sb26 faceplate removed with custom waveguide and phase plug.

Really amazing what these can do

Very little to almost no loss compared to my t25d-6

Some may say I'm exaggerating, but that's how I felt. Side by side comparison
That's high praise, indeed.

Sointuva has better tweeter but Ascilab has better enclosure imo.

It's a shame all the bad news about Sointuva is coming from South Korea, but one user's Sointuva cracked... Weather is bit wild here so may not be problem for others.

(He gave up on replacing the enclosure and just bought 3d printer to diy his own speaker with m74b btw.)

Would be really nice to see something similar to the Neumann kh310 layout for us studio guys.

Amphion one 25a goes for $15k if you could do something along those lines sealed instead of passive radiators that would be epic. Point source also so the speakers could be turned on the sides or even upside down and used for near field. I’d buy

Fair to ask, but you are requesting speakers that are totally different from what's shown here... :D

From an earlier post:
It has not been decided exactly what speakers will be released after that. It could be a floor-standing 3-way speaker or a KH310-style 3-way speaker. We are also considering an MTM style speaker with cardioid, as well as high sound pressure level-focused speakers too. The basic ideas and designs have been roughly completed, so it won't take a long time to launch the products.
