The weight of packaging is secondary.

As it seems you never announced that the pre-order time would possibly stop earlier than December 9, IF or WHEN the first batch was sold out, I think it is in your best interest to keep the pre-order price until you reach that date.
Agree - Seems we are being let alone in the cold after we had to undergo all the saga with the pricing adjustment, due to Dollar Euro conversion issues with the EU distributor. Please reconsider to open up the pre-order window as agreed prior to the 9th of Jan to allow potential future customers to sign up to the pre-order incentives.
@AsciLab: I have to say this whole pre-ordering procedure - unfortunately - leaves a bit of a bad taste:
- Pre-ordering phase placed over X-mas/new year holidays
- Pricing issues with your distributor Audiophonics
- Final set of measurements not available during pre-ordering phase (at least not submitted to spinorama)
- Pre-ordering phase finished early without any previous "last call" opportunity
This does not strengthen customers' trust... however, I understand that you might not care as there are already so many orders placed.

Audiophonics: I ordered earlier today it says order went through but unfortunately it shows in the order confirmation for as well the C8C and BXBC 0 availability.
Is it not normal for a pre-order?
I hope you are correct, but have my doubts

I did see this coming - thoughy it was pretty obvious - and jumped on the preorder early on. With AsciLab supply history, product would obviously be limited. Not sure if its a parts supply issue, or production capacity issue, or combination - either way its like a boutique limited batch availability.
They are still a small company expanding beyond the capability to meet demand. Iam sure they will figure it out eventually. They also look after their customer base.

It said so on my order too, which makes sense, none have been delivered yet to Audiophonics, so none can be in stock right now.

Well yes, obviously. I can afford either, but also obviously I prefer to spend as little as possible. Normally you see obvious compromises with the "lower end" model (feels wrong to say, considering the >10k EUR price) and other than the SPL (potentially) I don't see any downsides to this model. Again, to me it looks like one of the best speakers ever made. Very impressive.
I gotta make up my mind before the 9th, as that's when Audiophonics end their preorder special. Would be nice to see a review before then, but I assume we won't get that until later. Wish I could listen to them in person, but alas.
The process has been rough, partly due to company being new and adapting as they go along.
Anyway, as far as I know, the only thing that has stopped is Ascilab taking orders themselves. We as dealers/distributors still have until the 9th to put in our orders. I plan to continue to take orders until the 8th, allowing for a day to put in our official bulk order. So if anyone in US wants them, they need to act fast: https://testedaudio.com/
It will just be a standard IEC ( kettle lead) socket so anything UK certified will be fine.
To echo Amir I believe AsciLab have only closed pre-orders from their own site.
