Which one is metallic grey? And which is modern grey? The website doesn't really say which is which.

okay I scrolled down and see now where it labels the colors. Might be a good idea to label the photos or select the photo along with the color choice dropdown.

By the way, I came here because of the review and measurements from Erin's Audio Corner. And I'm also a big fan of PURIFI. I see that you'll be building a speaker with PURIFI woofer and passive radiator. If you build one with also the PURIFI tweeter and it measures well I might be interested.

Luckily for you they are.

For now we’re planning something.
Soon we’ll open.

Anyway, using 3” midrange 3 way speaker is always in my mind. Someday I’ll try it.

Based on the experience of Philharmonic Audio, those “full range” drivers are better midrange drivers than those “midrange” drivers. Looking forward to your three way towers, preferably some of which under $2,500 per pair.

Doubt at that price.

In their published roadmap, the 3-ways are already priced higher. Published estimated prices:
F6C $3k
C5C $3.5k
C6C $5k
S6C $11k

The speakers you listed are active models with built-in amplifiers.
I think if Ascilab launches passive tower speakers, you could expect them to be under $2,500. But for tower speakers, the shipping costs might be greater.

Good point!
Active vs. Passive.
Currently there is no info about 3-way tower passive.

Any german users that ordered speakers from ascilab?

I'm curious about the whole process and costs.

They are not 3 ways

oh really?

Take for example, C6C specs says 1” tweeter, 2x6” woofers, 2x8.75” subwoofers.

The C6C isn’t configured as 3-way? Really?

Does it mean that the 6” and 8.75” drivers run in a 2.5-way configuration?

While it's technically a 3-way system, it's not simply a 3-way speaker because it operates in a cardioid pattern.
Model names ending with "C," such as C6C and S6C, all refer to speakers that operate with a cardioid characteristic.
For cardioid operation, unlike typical analog crossovers, the side woofers interfere with the front woofer across a wide range of frequencies.
Therefore, while these are indeed 3-way speakers, it's inappropriate to simply call them "3-way speakers."

I believe it's more accurate to refer to them as active cardioid speakers.

HI

.
As a prospective (Future??? ;)) customer, I believe we would welcome a re-design of the website:Navigation is confusing..
Nomenclature is confusing, as noted by others within this thread (too lazy to search for the post)..

I understand the focus is on high performance and great price but .. more clarity in the lines, directions and future products would help..
as It is , I am leaning toward a purchase :D ..
AscisLab is becoming the equivalent of Topping or SMSL, etc, in the speaker space: Sane prices for superlative performance...

Do you have a 2-way with 8 inch sub/mid woofer in your future??
A 3 way for under $2K /pair?

Peace.

C5B with an 8 inch woofer for under $2k would be very cool.

I appreciate not having to pay for fancy cosmetics that I don't care about.
I'm more than willing to pay extra for nice veneers and/or unique finishes.
Both valid opinions, but offering the option tends to increase costs, because inventory has to be manufactured and held for each color option, or color options have to be applied on demand / JIT, which is more expensive than just doing them all at once. This is why you see the same "safe" colors from almost every small manufacturer where fashionability is not the point.

Nobody ever got fired for shipping the black colorway first, white second, grey third, blue fourth... ;)
