PS: I use AES/EBU and 14 m cable length. 110 Ohm termination plug at the end. Works perfectly.

Termination would mean there's an open end. Where do You encounter this?

Honestly, I din't find any information whether the digital signal is hardwired from input to output or terminated on every input if the Hypex FA252, so I use the plug as a precaution.

D&D e.g. supplies a termination plug as standard accessory for their 8C speaker and recommends using it.

I currently put a minidsp studio in the middle and from there identical 1+2 goes left and 3+4 goes right. Upper and lower speaker connected using through. All master and just set to the correct side L or R.

P.S. currently considering only using 1+2 and daisy chain them all..

Currently they are pointing directly at my MLP. A slight toe out is also ok.

So I had to borrow a big tool to finally get it out. I was stupid enough to use an electrical driver and torque was set too high so when it jammed I did not immediately stop. I do not plan to screw anything in there again so no worries regarding a replacement. One of the grille of the c8c do not fit but I have to have a closer look first.View attachment 543083

Turned out this is actually a problem with the drilled hole. I tried all 3 others successfully with two screws. Just that one gets stuck. Unfortunately leaving the screw out leads to a rattling noise using 50hz test tone that disappears when I push down on th speaker.

You damaged the screw hole by using the electric screwdriver to force an improperly aligned screw in.

My suggestion is just not use that one screw hole. Will be secure enough with 3 screws
Otherwise remove the bracket and take it to a local machine shop to fix, it can be done by yourself - but Iam not sure you are up for it.
Or just order a replacement bracket from Ascilab.

Just wanted to share my measurement result from my C8C in my 30m^2 room. Red is undcorrected and blue is corrected. Green is Harman room curve. They are placed 75cm from wall and distance to seat is abt. 3meter. There seems to be a 360deg phase shift with center at 220Hz. @AsciLab I would like to paint the speaker stands in the same color as my grey C8C. Do you have a color code? (RAL ???).

Is it possible to use the hypex filter design software on mac? I succesfully installed it via VM but does it detect the C8Cs to change things?

Don't know VM under Mac, but with Linux you can passthrough USB to the VM and that should work.

@AsciLab I would like to paint the speaker stands in the same color as my grey C8C. Do you have a color code? (RAL ???).

I don't have that information for Gray but just in case someone has black, i do have it for that:

Sherwin-Williams – Tricorn Black (SW 6258) Matte finish (very important)

And this for any repairs:

• Color code: 2003F (7.7PB 1.8/0.3)
• Paint type: 2-component urethane paint
