The F6Bs is the only option, currently, which has any mount screws/holes?

By chance, does anyone know where the US tariff situation stands re: an order like this?
15% at this instant. Susceptible to instantaneous change apparently.

Somewhere within the huge AsciLAB thread Jinsung published the measurements of the newly designed grills on and off and as I remember they were designed to be and are completely transparent.

That's nice, but:

Is it possible to remove the woofer grill?

Or is it not recommended because the fiber cone woofer is too sensitive (or other reasons)?

From AsciLab...

"The F series woofer material is no coated fiber cone. It is vulnerable about something like liquid and sharp materials. So we choose to hide the woofer by fabric grill. It is removable for maintenance but we don’t recommend to use without grill."

and

F6B has no trim ring. Only grill. You can take apart it but we don’t recommend it. Detachability is for troubleshooting.
C6B basically has trim ring. Grill is additional option. And you can detach the trim ring and put the grill on. They are attached by magnet.

Presumably if you can safely pull the grill away, magnets are all that is holding - nothing physical otherwise, though presumably there could still be some interference fit/friction, perhaps.

Anyone wish to share feedback on progress of orders placed for F6B / F6Bs directly on AsciLab store since they were listed as available again on ~Sept 15th 2025?

Wow! Dac, amps and players are solved with human prices. Is this loudspeaker the solution for home speakers??
Yes now it's time to start...THE STEREO OLYMPICS...a contest for the cheapest (best) System with levels above where most if not all of us cannot hear a difference in a medium to large living room. Say 3 categories, $500, $1000, $1500.

Of course ther would be allowances of up to $25000.00 made for important variances like cables and stereo furniture and power supply conditioners.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN.

Needs to be a separate thread, if you want to do that.

I think this is based upon a hotly contested premise and question here at ASR: does noticeable audio quality continue to improve to some degree if you spend more money?

I believe returns diminish but still exist far above the $1500 price point. I also believe there is some unknown point where spending more does not guve you better sound. Amir and others have stated agreement in different ways but many here seem to feel that is not the case.

Dynamic range and bass extension costs money. There is no dimisionating point until you are north of $10,000. Even $100k may not be enough if you want it all.

Alright, I'll go

I reckon I got an order in quite promptly after it being possible again on the AsciLab store website - I'd checked on the morning of Sept 15, and it wasn't yet available to order. Then checked not too much later in the morning, it was available to order, and I did - so, one might think it would have been pretty high up in their order queue (of new orders for F6B(s) at least). The order was for white waveguide - so not one of the custom colours that might take longer.

Their website said, and still does - "The AsciLab F6B speakers are made to order, and it may take about 2 to 3 weeks from the time of order to delivery."

15 days later now, and the order status says "Before Shipment".

Not complaining - just sayin'.

Has anyone used these in a HT setup, with the F6Bs as a center channel?

They seem really good for that if you have the amp power/ do not want to listen that loud.

Update, Oct 1, "Order Shipped".

Delivered quick.

Some meaurements in room, and early impressions on the other thread...

Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a pair of Ascilab F6B.
The room being quite small, I don't think I'll absolutly need a sub.

My main concern is my amp. the Wiim Amp Pro (2x60W under 8Ohms).
Would it be enough to drive a pair ?

I would argue that this already falls under diminishing returns: The last few hertz of bass extension and the last few decibel of max SPL get really really expensive. Diminishing returns do not mean that the growth turns negative after this point, but that the growth of the growth turns negative. So sound quality still gets better if you spend more.
