Erin's review of C6B is more linear in room than Amir's of the F6B - and on axis as well. They will sound different.
Requiring different engineering.It's a different tweeter on the C6B too. And also a different crossover.
The woofer in the F6B is not the fiber version (NRX line) of the SB17CAC.I was merely pointing out that when I apply the pricing of F6P vs. F6S, the C6P should not be so much more expensive than the F6P unless I am overlooking a major change (so far assumed going from SB15 fiber to CAC cone and from SB alu to CAC-like dome, which is essentially the same cone after anodization.
Right you are. So the C6 uses the the medium line. That explains a good part of the bump.The woofer in the F6B is not the fiber version (NRX line) of the SB17CAC.

It is probably from the PFCR line (SB16PFCR...), maybe modified, probably not.
Yeah this is what we needWe are currently discussing a dealer agreement with a company in the EU.
The rush of buying speakers that you don't need is just one of the guilty little secrets at the core of this hobby... lol. Either would probably not linger on the used market if you had to part with a pair.... any real world benefit of these over the Revel M106 I already have?
Let us know when it is delivered and give some feedback. From where did you order them?I ordered a pair of the C6B model. It was hard to resist a budget priced level speaker that’s rated so high, especially after Erin’s review.
I’m guilty of this, this will be my eighth pair of speakers in the last 15 years or so. Two pairs were returned and one pair I sold off, so I’ll still own five pairs. I like trying different designs and wanted to try something that measures better than anything I owned. See what all the fuss is about, I can always sell them if they don’t impress me.The rush of buying speakers that you don't need is just one of the guilty little secrets at the core of this hobby... lol. I ordered from their website. Payment through PayPal. I’ll update after I receive them.Let us know when it is delivered and give some feedback. From where did you order them?
Perhaps you need to first upgrade your amplifier…. To something incredibly powerfulThese would be the perfect replacement for my B&W 805 Matrix 2-ways that I bought in 1998. They cost $1,600 for the pair, which was a huge financial stretch for me at the time. I keep waiting for them to fail so I can justify a new bookshelf speaker purchase, but they refuse to give up the ghost.
Ha! Blow them out and leave myself with no choice would perhaps be the the most convincing route to finally get me to buy a new pair of speakers.Perhaps you need to first upgrade your amplifier…. To something incredibly powerful![]()
Are there purifi floor standing speakers in the making?I wish the speakers were available in the days I bought my Amphion Argon 3s. They sell for 3000 (!) Euro a pair and they measure not even close to the Ascilab speakers. Eagerly waiting for the purify-equipped bookshelf s to be measured here.... Very well done!!!;
Why does C have two definitions?Thank you Amir ( again) and AsciLAB.
How to Speak AsciLAB :-
S= Signature model, using all Purifi drivers.
A= Purifi Aluminium woofer and ceramic-aluminium tweeter.
C= Ceramic Aluminium woofer and a ceramic-aluminium tweeter
F= Fibre woofer and an aluminium tweeter.
B=Bookshelf
C=Cardioid
The middle number represents the diameter of the main driver in inches.
The final letter denotes the type of enclosure.
BX8C and BX10C are the Sub bass cardioid extension modules.
