@AsciLab, do your C8C measurements refer to the midrange shields installed or not? Would there be any measurable differences? Thanks
Ascilab's speaker grilles are acoustically transparent:

If you are UK based we have stock of the C8C either black or white versions available.

I haven't tried them yet, I thought I hated white drivers, but on a black background they have their reason

I haven't had time until now to give feedback on my C8Cs.
People often read reviews when something goes wrong, but not so much when everything is perfect...
As for me, the speakers were (and still are) in impeccable working and aesthetic condition; setting them up was incredibly simple (XLR cables via the analog output of my Eversolo DMP-A6 II).
And then... the sound was incredible, even unsettling—so completely devoid of any coloration, a real treat. The bass was hard to imagine coming from speakers of this size; I even removed my subwoofer, it added nothing... The clarity of every single sound produced by these C8Cs is insane!!
Even my wife, who was skeptical about yet another speaker change, especially without having heard them beforehand, told me, “This time I really hear a difference; you’ve taken it to the next level.”

ASCILAB, congratulations, you’ve created an exceptional product!!

Your feedback exactly mirrors my experience.

Now I am selling my Neumann KH310 plus 2x KH810, do no longer need my Fireface UFX II which I used for DSP and bass management, and my husband is happy that the living room looks less technical than before and enjoy the "much clearer sound" (his words)
:)

They are formidable , first order sold out, replacements ordered.

That is one of the S6B’s 8” PRs, the A6B has 6;5”.

We have to wait a little longer for that!

I don’t sorry, I believe the plan was and still is to make both a passive and active version, with interchangeable back plates.

Thank you sir.

I remember reading the same a good while back but as I haven’t heard anything since then I assumed the idea might have been quietly dropped.

SB Acoustics and Purifi.

D&D use Wavecor I believe.
