Exciting speakers, congratulations on the launch. Please release some active versions!
Congrats. I don't know if your assumption is correct if you dial in a decent subwoofer with the C6B. I've heard the F35 which is a nice speaker. The C6B imho, is a step above the F35 with a subwoofer.I love the approach that Ascilab took with the community and their extraordinary and unique balance of expertise and humility, so I decided to buy a pair of C6B in flat black for my Hong Kong apartment. I currently have Revel F35s in that setup so I can't expect the C6B to surpass them.
However, I'll get a lot of visual space back and the C6B will fit the small apartment much better. I plan to place these on a deep window shelf alongside a flat screen TV and Cambridge Audio Evo100. I'll be sure to take before and after REW measurements and share with this group.
Thank you Ascilab! I can't wait to see them in person after reading about them for so long online!
You may very well be correct. Using the excellent comparison tool at spinorama.org, I can see that the C6B doesn't give up much at all in the low frequencies to the F35. There's only a 1dB difference at 80Hz or thereabouts. Across the frequency range, The C6B is smoother with less deviation from linear. Can't wait to measure and hear them!Congrats. Because the verticals are so good on these, they would perform OK lying down, but not as good as upright. Are there any bigger bookshelfs speakers planned?
Would it fine to lay these flat?
Thanks
..and SwedenLiterally the same here in Germany.
Also directivity of the Ascilab is smootherUsing the excellent comparison tool at spinorama.org, I can see that the C6B doesn't give up much at all in the low frequencies to the F35. If the taxes you paid include any customs duties, you may apply for a refund. Due to the FTA agreement between Korea and Canada, the customs duty rate is 0%. If you need a Certificate of Origin for the duty refund process, please send a request email to [email protected].

@AsciLab What are the most important audible differences between the F6B and the C6B? I find it hard to judge from the measurements. Thanks!Ascilab C6B and F6B have been launched! Feel free to ask any questions, share feedback, or join the discussion.
