Thanks so much! The top plate on these stands measures 8.5" by 6" deep, but the A6B dimensions are 8.7" wide by 10" D. Is the overhang a problem? Go easy on me....never had bookshelf speakers on stands before.

Surprisingly it looks like it has similar distortion performance at the low end with similar extension. Unfortunately amir doesn't have the KH 150 anymore so we can't get a look it at with the new distortion graph. the absolute distortion graph shows the A6B not losing as much output below 30hz as KH 150 which might explain the differences in amir's listening test.
Any word on when these might be available in the States? Asking for a friend...

We ordered a bunch a while ago. Production got delayed but should be finished any day now and put on the boat to get here. So my best estimate is around end of August.
There is a catch though. The waitlist is longer than what we ordered (which had some extras). Not everyone comes through with their orders though so if your friend
, is interested, have him start a conversation here or send a message from TestedAudio to be put on the waitlist (together with color preference).Even more bad news is that we can't order more due to lack of Purifi driver availability.
For all of these reasons, I am glad we ordered a bunch of them even though it put a serious dent in our bank account!

No, they went the other way. From 10% to 12.5%.
Originally they were 15%. That was overturned so went down to 10% but then we got hit with much higher shipping costs due to the situation in middle east. So it was kind of a wash for us. The increase to 12.5%, however is going to make things painful since there has been no relief on shipping costs.
It is kind of unfair since we ordered these products when tariff was 10% yet we are going to have to pay 12.5% now. They had this narrow exception of if a product was shipped before the 24th of July but arrived before the 28th which we obviously do not qualify for on this shipment.
The A6B and S6B are superb loudspeakers, for ‘most’ all you would ever need.

It means that for most folks they dig deep enough that a sub is probably not needed. I can attest to that, for most music a sub is not needed, but when I play some music and for most movies, I want to use them with my two SB 2000's. They are fantastic speakers. It's a pity there's such an issue around availability because they are among a handful of bookshelf speakers that deserve to be called "world class". Hope the supply chain issues get resolved soon.
The tariff issues are here to stay, however. The new tariff regime is under Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 which allows the POTUS, as his discretion, to impose up to a 50 percent tariff on the goods of any nation he deems to be discriminating against US trade. Unlike other earlier tariffs, that's not subject to judicial review, and can only be altered by a congressional repeal (no doubt overriding a veto), of the existing statute.

The statute used for 12.5% tariff is Section 301 of 1974, not 338. It is ostensibly due to "forced labor" concerns in some 40 countries! That broad nature will likely put some wind behind the lawsuits already filed against it. I don't know how the government with straight face back this notion but I suspect/hope that the International Court of Trade shoots it down like the last time. FYI that court also has power over Section 338.
The process of course is slow and we may not have a ruling under our current president's term is over anyway. So as a practical matter, you are right that we are stuck with this rate for the duration.

Visually, it takes some getting used to, but it offers significant acoustic and technical advantages.
Does Purifi have a patent on this?
If not, I don't understand why other manufacturers don't just copy this surround.

I took a look at the patent, and as I understand it, the PURIFI patent doesn’t simply refer to the distinctive “mountain-and-valley” surround. The actual idea is the combination of a non-uniform surround, designed to reduce distortion by providing a more consistent effective membrane area, and a stiffening ring at the membrane edge that compensates for the uneven forces created by this surround geometry. Without this stiffening, the membrane edge could deform and create new distortions.
The patent thus protects the combination of a specific surround geometry and its structural compensation and not just only the “mountain-and-valley” surround.
