Looks like a great way to add lossless AirPlay 2 to Wiim products missing that

although a fair bit of duplicated features, e.g. DAC, LAN or WiFi streaming from NAS, USB stick, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect directly

it isn't expensive, maybe iFruit aficionados just carry it to use wherever needed?

is 96kHz/24bit as high as Google Cast goes?

I'd be happy to drop ship to Amir for testing if interested...

Amir received it about five weeks ago, so we "should" be seeing a test report sometime before Christmas.

I requested comments on multi-room integration with the Wiim ecosystem if any.

If not then I'll research a feature comparison with Ultra.

I’m somewhat interested in an LP10 but again have questions which the website doesn’t answer thus:

Can it do Spotify lossless? Some posts on the forums suggest it can but there seems to be some confusion about if there are bugs to do with output sample rates, one poster was suggesting that is it was outputting 44.1 as 88.2?

How does the DLNA support work is it only a renderer or does it have the ability to select music in the app and queue playback? My understanding about the way DLNA works is if you just have a renderer then you have to have something like UPnPlay to control it?

It appears to not have its own multiroom support and rely on Airplay2 or the Google equivalent it therefore can’t do multiroom when playing via DLNA?

so maybe if you ask nicely, his testing protocol can expand a little into these non-measurement areas. But note my promise at the end:

My use case otherwise will be plugging into Wiim Ultra or "Amp Ultra" wired as if any other source

The LP10 and LP100 definitely do not interoperate with WiiM because they aren’t based on LinkPlay modules. Arylic themselves said on their forum they had to pivot away because LinkPlay stopped supporting them.

Asked my wife to order this for me for Christmas for my office stereo. Right now I’m using my iPhone with the Apple dongle hardwired to my Yamaha RS-201 receiver as a “streamer”. When I need to make a call or join a meeting, I unplug from the iPhone to my work laptop. I would love to completely do away with the manual wire switching in exchange for a remote.

I really don’t like the Wiim Mini’s form factor. I know that’s a silly reason not to get it, but oh well.

This Arylic support thread indicates Spotify lossless support for the LP10.
