It was a long long time that I didn't see an antenna like that in a new device :)

Yeah, I might have seen it some old radioset years back.
They seem to have taken completely different approach than others with power supply choice with TPA3255 amplifier.
I am wondering what could be practical benefit of this over switching psu?
I have seen so many TPA3255 amps now and I find it different and attractive enough to try.

interesting device

however like the SMSL streamer it seems like they are trying to get into the streaming market but i feel they will have more success than "DAC makers" given Arylic has strong experience with app controlled devices.

But to me nothing here is truly compelling for the money... I am reasonable happy to commit to a Wiim or even a Eversolo device given these guys have real experience with streaming but Arylic I dont think is there yet.

Coupled with the fact that not much of this is very compelling hardware-wise... the 9023 isnt competitive... sounds like a lot of compromises in box.

I am happy to put up with a lot of nonsense at the $100 level like the BP50 but at $239.... hmmm

Arylic's streaming base platform isn't new and A100 didn't give me any issues with Windows as I got with Wiim.
They surely need to come up with newer hardware to compete with newer offerings in the market but I found it more than decent for the price. Seems like ES9023 is their highest stable DAC platform at the moment but I heard that they are developing newer ones as well.
I think it would get down the personal preference as this A100 looks more like a traditional design, better heavy larger case, internal linear PSU, display with loads of features, digital inputs, photo input, line out, EQ and PEQ, mobile app operationally works fine and overall decent performance.
I think this device could have been relatively cheaper if they would have gone with smaller cheaper case, external power adapter, etc. but they did choose to pick components which add to the cost. Some may see value on it while others may not.
From Arylic's point of view, they did something different and its a good starting point for them to upgrade upon.
