Reb Fountain - Come Down

We lost Lalo Schifrin and I was a fan, not so much of his Jazz acumen, but the soundtracks, mixing Jazz orchestra with then contemporary funk, rock, bossa even Chinese music. I have been playing some of my faves and realized that one of my new discoveries was guy and his band corto.alto from Glasgow. I was going to post it in the Jazz tread but was it Jazz, or Jazzy Trip hop, or maybe Trippy Jazz. Anyway its lots of horns and contemporary down beat poly-rhythmic stuff with orchestra like flourishes, in a Lalo style. This is my favorite from the new album, Bad With Names, (maybe minimize the video and listen, you will see why). The album is pretty good, for me anyway.
