More of a rediscovery that I had lost track of for several years, here's one for you if you were all over Marina's first album or two:

Her background is much more diverse than this though. The chorus of this one (sort of between Nina Hagen and the B-52's?) is wack even by New Wave standards:

After the last two years, I don't blame any artist for trying their hand at something a little more pop nowadays...

I've read the thread and listened to a good deal of good stuff, thanks everyone for sharing.

Here's five prog rock band I discovered lately. I'll let you judge the quality of their recording (the japanese ones probably are).

Iamthemorning - Russian, fell in love with their sound at first listening. All of their album have kind of the same sound, you like one, you'll probably like the others.

Willowglass - British solo/multi-instrumentalist, however he did play with other artists. His three albums are different but always with old references (Camel, Yes, Genesis...)

Dancer - old British band, made one album. Can't get enough of the first long track.

Ashada - Japanese, their only album. First two tracks I find amazing, the others are less interesting.

Zabadak - Japanese also. I think they are more widely known, but never heard of them before two months ago. Same deal though, first tracks are the best.

I'll probably be back with other discovery as I've heard a lot of good band since the beginning of the year.

Daniel Herskedal - amazing musician (tuba player) involved with very interesting projects. His recordings are usually very well recorded. Few samples:

Insecure Men, bit hipster, but the below track is very good.

A bit of Sleaford Mods. British / Nottingham band.

The Tree of Forgiveness by John Prine is a very good album.

Not much of artist discovery but amazing performance of very young girl (you need wait till half of clip). I am always amazed how is it possible to have such great vocal and pitch control at such young age.
