You might laugh at me, but I've just discovered Tom Petty. I was watching the last episode of SEAL Team and "I Won't Back Down" played.

I wanted that song, so I downloaded the whole "Full Moon Fever" album. And then I was like...waitaminute...I know that song....and that song too :D

I have not discovered something this good in a long time, I like every song. Even his first album is good. I'm so excited to discover the whole catalog, there's so much material.

They recently re-released the whole catalog in 2014/2015, and the 24bit remasters are actually good with dynamic range. And the stuff was audiophile quality music to begin with.

This is me right now:

Tom's my home boy. I used to go see him when his band was named Mudcrutch in Gainesville Fl. They played the Jewish Community center with an overhead projector and a guy mixing oil and water for the light show - lol. I'd even see them doing shows at Parties in Gville. One of my favorite artists in general. I've got or have had probably his entire discography on Flac. If u dig thru some of his stuff (Playback box set) you'll find some hidden gems (Gator on the lawn, Pychotic reaction live, Insider, Kings Highway live etc etc etc.... Happy for you to see you finally discovered Tom. Fortunately he was quite prolific so you have a lot to explore

Souther Blume is a great album, stays in heavy rotation. You can find it on Amazon Music. I particularly like Trouble and Down.
