As Covid first hit (last April, I think) Lars Leonhard offered nearly his entire catalog free in high bitrate .aiff files via Bandcamp. I'm not usually into electronic, but gave it a shot and really quite impressed and can listen for hours. A real treat for me while holed up. Definitley a must-try for people like me who don't naturally gravitate to electronic. CD offerings as well but many of the downloads are higher bit and SQ is great. Musicianship high esp. for the genre, imho. I don't recall how I stumbled onto his work. I need more electronic music suggestions!

A very warm evening from Victoria in Australia [7.30pm and still 36C...] and after immensely enjoying reading this entire thread [and spending money in bandcamp], I have noticed no one has mentioned Stavros Lantsias.
I stumbled across him after hearing background audio on a youtube video and chased him down the rabbithole. This is landscape-ish and very relaxing so it may not be your cuppa tea. Otherwise, enjoy. This is the title track of his album 'diary of dreams' [translated from the greek] and the entire album is 'majestical' as they said in the movie 'the wilder people' :)

Two feet, A twenty something f**k. it's a 20 minute album kinda R&B, rock, the third song titled 'feel like playing guitar' is sweet.

One band I discovered recently: Stolen Jars.

Liking them a lot and their use of deep bas and semi-chaotic tunes

I'm an old white guy who still watches Saturday Night Live. In the '70s, it's where I first heard Devo and Sparks, two bands I still listen to (Sparks is still active!), so last night I watched and saw Machine Gun Kelly, someone I'd never heard of, and saw this:

Sorry about the links - I don't stream and can barely cut and paste.

Buying this CD today. PLAY LOUD!

I'd heard of MGK but thought he was strictly a rap artist. @MZKM posted the link to "Lonely" in the "What are we listening to..." thread and I liked it...so I listened the the studio version on Tidal and it's really well done. Yes, it is mastered loud but the vocals are up front and clear.

Yeah, I figured it would be a casualty of the Wars. I was skeptical I'd like MGK when I saw he was on. But he's the real thing. I'm looking forward to getting the disc.
