As I mentioned I don’t want another app to stream Qobuz, but looks like WiiM supports Chromecast, is this what you’re referring to?
Sorry I must have missed that.

I got an email from Qobuz about joining their beta for Qobuz Connect the other day, so hopefully that’s not too far off.

Okay, but if you already have one, it's not like adding the Arsy is some big hard feat requiring amazing skills.

You literally just plug it in.
Yes, I know. The back an fourth we are now engaged in started with me replying to Amir's review by remarking that the DUT's method for configuring the SSID & PSK is fine for (1) some situations and (2) not others. See #17 above. As I already acknowledged, your network is in category (1). Congratulations! I wouldn't assume others are.

@amirm I’m not sure how you’d do it, but is it possible to test the WiFi performance? After all, it’s a key component to a streamer.

I bought a WiiM mini for a third floor bedroom and found the dropouts and disconnections unacceptable. I had a 15 year old Sonos unit laying around that I ended up using instead. No connection problems at all.

So I think WiFi reception would be pretty interesting and important to check if you had some protocol
In my previous home I never had dropouts with my WiiM Mini, although signal strength was shown as "low". However in my new home I do have problems with dropouts. Perhaps my WiFi signal is now really low. I am going to boost this. Hopefully a stronger WiFi signal helps to solve the problem..

There is no good way to test WiFi. Even people who do networking reviews only do ad-hoc tests. It is a super complex problem that doesn't lend itself to testing in any usable way. Your access point, amount of noise/interference, even location and position of the device impacts how it behaves.

Why does Ne-2 NOT support UPNP with MacBook Pro? Only Airplay. Audirvana provides a UPNP interface on Mac and the Ne-2 is not detected, while the UPNP interface of Denon AVR, Wiim mini and RPi4/Moode UPNP all work fine with Adirvana on MacBook Pro. Is it possible the Ne-2 is NOT designed to support UPNP on Apple products?
After testing, Ne-2 support UPNP with MacBook Pro.

It doesn't on my MacBook Pro with Audirvana and Qobuz.

Is this with WiFI connection or Ethernet? Did you test Qobuz or just Tidal?
Looks like you are only testing 44.1kHz. Can you show a screen with MacBook Pro, Wifi NE-2, Audirvana, Qobuz at 192kHz?
Thank you.

OS Release 2025.03.10.001

NE-2 firmware 2024.11.18.001 was the latest one available for download to my unit via ARSY wifi app. Has the 2025.03.10.001 version been setup to push to US Customers? Is there a change log?
Thank you.

Yes, you can update now.

Yes, you can update now.

I returned my ARSY NE-2 as once I hooked it up to wifi and updated the firmware it did not support UPNP with Audirvana on Mac even though UPNP was claimed in the sales listing. It looks like ARSY was selling units with much older firmware and the unit updated to a 2024.11.18.001 version instead of the latest 2025.03.10.001 using the ARSY Wifi tool. Hopefully, that fixes issues? However, I no longer have mine to verify. I would suggest posting an NE-2 firmware change log tech note which may help other ARSY buyers with similar issues before they return their units? Thank you for your insight.

Could you tell me your contact information? I can send you the Ne-2 device with the latest firmware installed for free.
