USB output, huh? Very unusual. Sadly not a good solution for Qobuz, but I don’t know if they are any good solutions for Qobuz, except Roon maybe ($$$).
You need to wait a bit for Qobuz connect, then it will be supported by wiim, volumio and maybe arsy :)

Qobuz works absolutely great and sounds better to me than Tidal. I have been using it the last 4 years with several configurations.

1. MacBook Pro ->Audirvana/Qobuz -> USB -> RME ADI-2 DAC -> Purifi -> Revel F328Be
2. MacBook Pro ->Audirvana/Qobuz -> WIFI -> RPi4/Moode -> RME ADI-2 DAC -> Purifi -> BMR Monitors
3. iPad/Wiim app/Qobuz -> WIFI -> Wiim mini -> FLEX -> NC502MP -> B&W606
4. MacBook Pro ->Audirvana/Qobuz -> WIFI -> Denon 4700 -> Revel F228Be

It sounds like you may not be aware of the wide range of configurations available for Qobuz streaming currently? It's one of the best values available for an annual plan. And if you sign up on Black Friday each year the deals have been even better.

None of the solutions listed employs the native app which offers the best interface into the service. I just want to fire up the Qobuz app and stream to a networked endpoint without any 3rd party helpers. I’m currently using a LMS-based solution which works well enough but it isn’t perfect.

Does anyone know how the Arsy Ne 2 compares with the less expensive Arsy Ne 3?

Yes. Or maybe the RJ45s are occupied. Or they don't want to remove the thing from where the service provider installed it up there on the wall. Or because they don't know what RJ45 "Ethernet" cables are (plenty people have never handled one). Or not being able to make the browser not use HTTPS. There's lots of reasons people find this sort of thing difficult, worrying or otherwise beyond their wherewithal.

For me it's easy as I know data networks and services quite well.

What's the right way to do it? What my idiotic Canon printer needs to get on a WiFi network is a model of "F**k it! I'll go to the print shop."
What do all the IoT devices do to get on a network? Say you want to install a couple of dozen light bulbs and each needs to know your SSID and PSK.
Right, so all these people who manage to connect up iot garbage can't plug in a cable?
Don't make me laugh.
"Service provider mounted it up on the wall", I guess you must live in the US, because everywhere else the customer is in charge, not the company the customer is paying.
Nothing in computer based audio, which this is, is idiot proof. Clearly there are too many idiots.

Audio specs are seemingly worse indicating a lower grade yet likely sufficient D/A solution and obviously no SPDIF out on the Ne-3.

Making products that people find easy to use is not completely unknown in consumer electronics. Some people think it helps sales.

Contempt for idiots is also an option.

That's why WPS was created. I don't entirely dislike the approach of the device defaulting to being an access point that you can connect to to do the configuration with a web interface, which seems to be what they've done according to post #96. That said, getting a browser to work without https looks likely to get progressively harder, so it may not be a good option for long.

I don't get this argument, either.

One can always install a mesh network with hot spots without needing permission from the service provider.

I have an Eero mesh hot spot behind my stereo shelf specifically so I can run Ethernet cable to nearby sources.

I have run this product in my system for about an hour now. There is definitely a hole, in my soundstage.
What do you mean?
It’s missing Chromecast and AlexaCast, as well as voice control and a BT remote control, all included with most WiiM devices. The WiiM will be easier to configure for WiFi, and supports MANY more services. So, unless you’re set on Roon, the WiiMs have many advantages for most folks.
I think the WiiM basic is cheaper as well? WiiM Mini is $89

I don't know what you are saying. There are instructions on the website. There is not much to it other than configuring WiFi if you need that. You plug it in, and it shows up as a playback device with specific applications. The simplicity of this product specifically deals with the issues you talk about. There is no requirement or need for any registration as there is with app centric streamers such as sonos, etc.
There seems to be a sudden occurrence of the lack of understanding the K.I.S.S. principle regarding this device.

Ncore 502 MP + Revel 105 speakers
Poor Revels if one are not careful with the volume control. An NC122MP based amp would be more than enough in this case, IMO.

Nice performing streamer by the way.

Tested Toslink and it is perfect as far as output:

However, I am not able to see Airplay or UPnP working. I have email to the company.

I am a big fan of Qobuz, subscribed 6 years ago. The "Qobuz connect" is a new feature expected soon.

Audirvana is a very good option against Roon...

Soon? When? Qobuz has been announcing this for three years now, but it hasn't happened. Qobuz even told me several months ago - I'm a music critic - that Heos would soon be integrated into Qobuz... Oh! It will happen eventually...
