Arendal 1528 high end speakers

I have nothing objective to add, but got the Slim 8's in place. Haven't had time to run Dirac even, pretty incredible so far and surprisingly heavy. I have been switching between these, super lintons and Ascilabs C6b(they all sound great). The overall spl and bass output is very impressive with an IOM Ncore Hypex powering them. I don't think I need anything more. More time is needed and RC ran before I make anymore judgements.
Size reference, that is a 21" PSA sub (24" cube), 75" TV and an Arendal 1723 Monitor center channel.

Do you have any in-room measurements with just the Slim 8 playing?

9K for the monitors + stand or 10.9k for the towers. Hmmmmmmmm
If you have a large room, then the Towers are your best bet; otherwise, they'll visually overwhelm your small to medium-sized room (unless you cleverly hide them under some tall plants, etc).

I was "window shopping" Arendal's website (common practice of mine :)) and noticed they indicated a price increase was coming to all their products due to tariffs from the US and increased manufacturing costs, effective this week. I asked why they would increase the prices on US customers since we end up paying the tariff fees anyway, collected by our shipping companies. Below is their unexpected and pleasant response, which I found very surprising:

So that's NOT a window! Took me a minute.

those better be book matched rosewood on each side for nearly $13k USD? Are they?
Looking at the quickly rotating pictures in the link it doesn't appear so to me but I wouldn't swear to it ? ;)

I own a pair of Arendal 1528 Slim 8 loudspeakers that I bought recently. And I noticed that behind the midrange grille, there was a sort of slightly shiny ring. Do you know what it is? I’m thinking it could be an absorbent foam stuck to the inside of the grille. While watching videos of these speakers on the internet, I get the impression that some of them have this ring and others don’t. But I can be wrong.

Eh. I wouldn't say "better be" because it depends on how many pieces of veneer they used. I'm not tossing out my floor toms cause they aren't exact matches to the rack toms or kick drums. Character. But I'll let you know soon enough.

That appears to be a part of the midrange drivers cone construction.
It is possible that you might see some on the internet that are different, no rule says that they can't change the construction at any time with no public announcement.
I've seen much the same thing with the drivers in Sennheiser HD650s changing appearance over time. You can try asking the manufacturer about it,
you may get an answer, maybe not. Sorry I can't give you anything solid.
Good luck. ;)

Just reach out to the Customer Service. They'll probably tell you. I've had nothing but great service from Arendal both as an owner AND a "tire kicker".

Hey. This is a perfect opportunity for live measurements and a recording of your drum kit vs what speakers can reproduce?!

Ha! Actually from my experience in studios, only live instruments sound like live instruments. Recorded "flat" or not. Often on big dates, recording engineers with producers select drums, mics, placement, muffling, EQ, compression, pre-amps, and plugins etc without the drummer ever having hit a thing. Drums in-room can sound loud, harsh, and lack low end. In fact, most drums are selected for their cut in the mix, not how good they sound on their own. Even sadder, once the drummer DOES play their part, they 99% of the time use ProTools and align the groove using Beat Detective to quantize each hit to a grid. Soulless. Imagine quantizing John Bonham or Steve Gadd, but I digress.

Once I can hook these monsters up and decide on placement, I'll upload pics. For the "record", I'm a 2 channel guy so primary will be vinyl playback and then movies/TV. Overkill? Totally but it's something I'm known for. LOL.
