I like the snake-pit of wires behind my shrine.
I scares the hell out of the uninitiated. LOL

There is always room for improvement
My trinnov implementation was a huge step upwards but Im already thinking of a trinnov based active quad amp setup for my G1 spirits..after that , I dunno...

I am definitely satisfied with my system. By that I mean I can put on music and enjoy it thoroughly. But that should not be read to mean I don't think it could be improved. I voted "Yes" without qualifications, as that's how I see it.

I'd love to get Trinnov but, as yet, there is no hardware configuration that fits and there's no software product at all.

Amen brother. When will someone do a good wireless solution to delivering signal to powered speakers?

Edit:
And for the extreme case :)
http://www.goldmund.com/en/products/apologue_anniversary

The current Goldmund speakers are mainly wireless needing just mains power.
They have been using DSP for many years, actually before any other maker I am aware of. My 20 year old epilogs were offered as an active dsp version a few years later.

Do you use the HIFI version of the Trinnov or the pro version?

It’s on my list of things I might get to improve things.

I need to fix or replace my Oppo to get SACD playback capability again but my biggest problem is not the system but the room -- I want a bigger one!

My main speakers are nearly 28 years old and are likely to be replaced before too much longer. The rest are fairly new (6 years except about 1 year for my last pair of subs). I also plan to replace the TV with a slightly larger (65") one but don't have real cause since the old one (52") still works fine.

Yes, the room.

Yes, but... I keep wondering what would be an improvement over my front mains ATC SCM19 (v1, SEAS tweeters. They are very good but something is lacking in the highs). Prefer to go active but don't want to spend more than 2K to 3K USD. Need to be standmounts (or sub-mount in my case - a pair of Rythmiks).

I ideally want Roon + convolution engine + room correction + DSP phono stage + digital out + headphone amp in one box.

But nobody makes such a thing.

IMO, when speaking about ideal solution such box should contain espresso machine too. :D

I would be great if our members would post at least some basic info on their systems components.
There's the Information page of our profiles that is perfect for it.
Gives us an idea of what our friends are listening on and their preferences.
Marantz NR1508 AVR
Paradigm Atom Monitor v7s
Phonar AS180 subwoofer
Audiophonics AK4495 DAC
Sony Blu Ray player
Stax Sigma headphones
Dell laptop w/ SS disc, Audirvana+
I got discounts, sometimes large, on most of those components. Audyssey calibration vastly improved things. A great reward was my wife's recognition that the investment was worth it. I feel that the missing 5 to perhaps 10% would require an extra investment of work, thinking and/or money which I'm not ready for right now.
