Are you buying now because you anticipate higher prices?

If you're a CEO, best not to anger your customers.

It's easier to say - stick to your company's mission and leave politics out of it. Budweiser should have stuck to selling beer, Gillette to selling razors, Target to selling clothes, Nike to selling shoes, and Disney to selling entertainment. And ASR should stick to discussing audio with no bloody politics. Look at what has happened!

ASR has multiple subforums that aren't devoted to audio , much less single threads like this. So it's never been only about audio.

I didn't check. I always assume the standard 2yr warranty applies. I may open it and check the circuit, more fun than arguing with after sales, shipping it back, etc... :)

It seems they have an active forum (although you probably know that), perhaps try there for possible fixes

Agree that using politics as a selling point can be very cynical, as an instance Nike advocating for civil rights in the US to sell gear made by oppressed Ouighours.
However we don't live in zero gravity, if tomorrow China invades Taiwan and all our electronics is gone, what will we talk about in the forum? About the gear we can't buy? We'll have to talk about it, there's no way around it. The devastating consequences of some policies cannot be avoided. Let's just be civil, and so far people are well behaved!
Let's bet on people's intelligence and humanity, far too many have kept betting on their vile side recently.

We recently bought a new Bosch Series 6 dishwasher. I had no interest in the app and thought it was a stupid gimmick. You certainly don't need to use it.

I installed the connected app just for fun and had a play with it. It's absolutely awesome and I was wrong.

Maybe if the dude in the video hadn't bought the cheapest poverty pack special, he'd get all the functionality and the displays he desperately wanted. And he can always install the app, set the favourite he wants and then delete the app for his basic machine.

The display on ours:

Damm we have more or less the same dishwasher. Atleast the same app Bosch Home Connect. But big difference in usage

Mine are even older. Although I never bothered to plumb the dishwasher in, it just fills the gap in the fitted kitchen. :D

No idea what I will do when the fridge and washing machine pack in.
Buy the newest older refurbished ones that DO NOT have an internet connection that you can get when the time comes.

ASR has multiple subforums that aren't devoted to audio , much less single threads like this. So it's never been only about audio.
But there was nothing that said "Go to SUB forum such & such to see information regarding...(tariffs or whatever else).
Many of us (who do not frequent subforums (and some who do) could have (& in my case certainly) would have avoided that thread involving that.
But...that did not happen.
Now, hopefully we can police ourselves to keep things that fall into the political spectrum off of the main portion of the site, at least.
Naturally, there is debate over what is & is not political and there are nuances.
Hopefully we can manage to mostly keep just audio or gear related stuff on the main potion of the site.
Many of us (yep, I'm a guilty one) somehow manage to go on unrelated tangents.

Just ordered from AliExpress:
(1) 6N2-T tube (apparently, "T" designates top quality)
(2) 6P1-T tube
(1) Gaiwan
(1) Transistor tester kit
(1) 10 watt UV curing light
(1) Replacement optical drive for Sony BDP-X700 / 800 4K disk player

Most expensive item is the gaiwan, at ~$28, but these were exactly the sort of de minimis items I feared would be hard-hit by tariffs, and I thought they might be sufficiently obscure that there'd be little outcry.

I'm not buying anything since I've procrastinated and am dangerously close to the May 2nd deadline for when de minimus ends. I've had a pretty steady IEM habit since the holidays, a steady stream of sets have been making the trip from China to the US for me. Great deals to be had on AliExpress with their strong coupon game. Well that hobby simply must come to the end, thanks Trumpmeister, cannot afford tariff bills on previously cheap goods, increasing price by 145% is simply unacceptable so I will just abstain. Almost pulled the trigger on a Ziigaat Arcanis, though further research revealed that I may prefer the Mangird Tea Pro per FR graph and HBB's faceoff vid. The Tea Pro is on backorder 2-4 weeks so no go, and it's old enough that it can be had used. In the end I will just stand pat with my current collection, which is for the best.

I pulled forward a WiiM Ultra purchase to upgrade from my Mini. I figured I should go for it now since I was planning on getting one if and when WiiM put up the Ultras for a refurb sale. The Ultra is a huge quality of life upgrade, and has really simplified my complex desk audio setup.

The Ultra might also lead to a subwoofer purchase in the next month or two if I can find the right place for it in my office. There's 2-3 big nulls in this room below 125 Hz that a subwoofer could plug, and my current speakers only really go down to 50 Hz.

I think I might also go for one of the higher-end Hifiman egg headphones as an EQ platform. I've been thinking about it for a while, and the Eggfimans fit me better than the other favorite higher-end EQ platforms (Audeze, Sennheiser HD800S.)

I know several people that cancelled their trip to the US, and mixed EU/US couples that live in the US that are moving to the EU if they can. And our Universaties are already welcoming the first quiet high level scientists that ran from the US also. The reputation as the safe haven for reason is gone largely and that causes a big migration to outside the US, often of people with money and knowledge...

Canada is telling its citizens to only take a burner phone to USA or stay home. I never thought I would hear those words? Crazy times.

That could hurt all the doctors business down here if they stay up north. I’ll have to check with my Canuck buddies at the club. Most of them use the healthcare down here rather than navigate the ‘system’ for timely treatment. My member member partner is from Windsor, he hasn’t mentioned being worried. I’ll ask.

Burner really?

I noticed that public taste in the US has shifted towards gold. This might be a speaker to suit that new taste, better buy now before it’s too expensive. But if you try to visit the website of the producer ShapeAudio, you get a warning “not secure”. Sounds familiar?
