Some time ago I got a couple of these babies for free:
The model is from the 90s, Technics SB-CH700, made in Spain of all places. They weren't expensive, even back in the day.
I'm a bit concerned because of the "Act Bi-Bass Digital Response" label, since I've read that some Technics speakers required a central unit to enable the crossover filter, but these don't seem to have any fancy stuff on the back. Just plain old speaker connectors. They also look completely passive from what I can tell.
I was thinking of using them as TV speakers for movies and games, so nothing crazy, but I still like audio quality to be decent.
Do you guys think it's worth it to get them back into shape?
