Are there any aesthetically beautiful subwoofers? (with photos)

I'm working on a "Full Marty" 18" driver 11 cubic ft. sub from a GSG flat pack. Very impressed with the quality and precision of the kit. I think it is beautiful on the inside.

They are angular rectangles, like 1000 other subs.... Why should they be beautiful?
Why shouldn't they? Simply making something a complicated shape does not imply beauty, nor does a simple shape imply a lack of it.

So we can close the topic, anything can seem beautiful to anyone. Clearly the idea was for something different than the usual black cubes with a woofer in the middle....

Maybe, but if someone finds a cube/rectangle aesthetically pleasing, would seem to match the topic. I believe I contributed a while back that I find it hard to beat a relatively basic box with a nice finish in terms of aesthetics. A lot of the other options that have been posted here I find distinctly not appealing and would not want in my space (with certain exceptions of course).

But aesthetics are about as subjective as it gets, so.

In general, subwoofers are now pretty accepted in home theatre rooms. I don’t think most people consider them the space hogging ugly boxes we perceive them to be. Most manufacturers have done a decent job giving them a decent fit and finish. If you’re looking for a totally clean looking space even your main speakers are going to seem obtrusive. So adding a sub (or even two) makes little difference. If your room measurements force you to put a sub front and center, my suggestion is to no longer call that room a living room but a listening space. Because you’ve nerded out to the point of not having conversations and dialogue with friends and family over hearing Rush 2112 without room modes. That is on you.

I think this one is the coolest looking and i'm not the least bit surpised it's a Bang and Olufsen as they've always placed design at least as important as sound

I think Paradigm's MilleniaSub and Seismic 110 subs are interesting designs but not necessarily the best looking as are B&W's Formation Bass Sub:

I must have a dirty mind. Are there velvet nudes on the walls? :)
Not just you. Definitely an "oh my" moment seeing it for the first time.

IMO Seismic is quite ugly. MilleniaSub is a useful shape to, e.g., stand up behind a computer monitor (i use one like that), or hide behind a nightstand. But it’s not especially attractive in form or finish.

Drum table sub. This one’s kitschy but a lighter stain color and a handsome fabric and it’s danish modern or retro. A 12” high excursion GRS sub is down firing

No but I've built a few pieces through the years. I actually built a roll-top in the 70s with a jointer, plainer, table saw, drill press and
several jigs I made. I used it in a warehouse/machine shop I built in 1972. The shop I had some help but the roll top I went through
a heck of a learning curve and quite a bit of black walnut before it was all said and done. I made a little over 100 pairs of cabinets
for speakers and built cabinets for 4 different kitchens through the years. I built at least 8 large entertainment centers too.

Chairs, tables, beds, chest of drawers and general furniture I left that to the wife to pick out.

I'm quite happy with a workshop environment and prefer to sleep on the ground in the summer. I'm still a bit of a caveman in some
respects. A shade tree is just fine most of the time as long as the mosquitos or flees aren't a problem and both can leave an animal
running for cover/water in the delta. I hate both personally. At least flies have a job, to eat $hit, I haven't figured out the purpose of fleas
or mosquitos yet. :)

Regards
Mosquitos and fleas are food for other animals. Frogs and Bats load up on skeeters.

For some reason that one makes me kind of crabby

You know who else makes a cool looking sub? Sonos

The only problem with the Sonos sub is, I heard one a few years ago and was unimpressed although it might have been the music that was playing and you can only use it with other Sonos speakers which is lame
