Arcam new AV processor AVP45 and AV Amplifiers AVA15/25/35

Design looks pretty good except for still being a big brick, love the (relatively) large screen. I don't really understand the progression up the range though... go from a kinda underpowered class D in the AVA15, then a more powerful class AB in the AVA25, then change to class G with the same amount of power in the AVA35. And in no case does the number of (amplifier) channels change. Oh, and all the 4ohm specifications are only for 1kHz but all the 8ohm specs are for full bandwidth. What the heck?

Man... another company extending the top cover so you can't see any of the connectors and their labels. :(
Yeah what's up with that? Some trend in "luxury" audio/video design to hide the connectors from view when looking down at it?

wow, AVP enthusiasts are eating good right now. did a new chip or supplier just become available or something? real explosion in options.
What do you mean? Arcam isn't new to the AVR/AVP game.

I dont really understand why they keep "spitting" out HDMI 2.1x versions still, the thing is still broken, no QMS support, maybe they havent produced the chips yet.

Hi, the top cover has magnetic holders:

The HDMI forum changed the QMS spec for switches underneath the feet of the implementers in a backwards incompatible way between 2.1 and 2.1a such that the hardware that was meant to support it couldn’t. There was a blame game between Nuvoton and the HDMI forum back in 2023/2024 but the upshot is until they update their chipsets, which they still haven’t done, it will never work. The only thing you can do is attach your QMS device directly to the TV and use eARC to get back to the AVR.
