ARCAM Introduces Flagship Radia ST25 Streamer and SA35 / SA45 Streaming Amps: High End Munich 2024

For products like these a decent app is important, and looking at the reviews (and lack of updates) for the Arcam Radia app they have a lot of work to do before they release these products in September.

These look solid as an all-in-one two channel system. Bluetooth AptXHD, Dirac Live, multiple sub outs, 240W @4ohms with .005%THD! That's crazy good. SNR of 110 is great performance for an all in one, and the design is minimalistic with a large screen for viewing.

As long as the app works I can't see any reason this wouldn't be a huge hit.

Hi, any info regarding thiw two amps? ARcam SA35 and SA45? when can we expect any review or test?

Mark Henninger (Stereophile) did a video interview with an Arcam rep of the Radia SA45, Arcam SA45 Video, when attending AXPONA. There is also a pretty good video review of the features (no tech or spec evaluation) of Arcam's new Radia series in the Audio Advice website, here. The unit looks to be a very capable all-in-one streaming integrated amplifier. It seems to be available now from some of the major audio websites -- for a while I was wondering if it would ever come out. The thing that concerns me is that there is no mention of a "Processor Mode", Arcam's term for "Home Theater Bypass", in the SA45 manual. In earlier manuals, for the previous generation of Arcam streaming integrated amps (SA20 & SA30), there were sections that referred to this "Processor Mode", so I don't know what it's omission from the SA45's manual means. I do know that for me, if the SA45 doesn't have a true or useable "Home Theater Bypass/Processor Mode", it would be a deal-breaker. I did ask Audio Advice, per their Chat feature, about this, and am awaiting an answer. However, if anyone has more definitive info, it would be appreciated.

Doesn't have one currently. Whether it will be added is unclear.

Dealers I spoke to said what's there currently is good, and works, but it's extremely basic - particularly re: streamer functions - nothing like Eversolo or Wiim. Arcam are apparently saying they have a roadmap (which they've not shared), and plans to regularly update it with new features ... but that probably depends on sales being good.

That it was delayed for so long and few if any reviewers seem to have been sent samples (and none for the ST25 which has been out a while) probably bodes poorly.

Would like to be wrong though. The SA35 would be excellent value if it is good.

Forget what I said. The SA35 has no XLR inputs. That's shocking ...
