Hi all,
I’m using an Apple TV 4K as the source for supplying media to some AVI monitors. Occasionally during playback there will be a static hissing of a split second. Years ago I had a similar issue with a 2nd gen Apple TV (though in that instance, it was every track played, not the occasional one like now) and had to change a sound setting on the device, but I can’t for the life of me remember what that setting was. Any ideas what could be going on?
The monitors have an inbuilt dac and the files I’m sending through are lossless from Apple Music.
edit: to add, the sound is taken from the HDMI port on the ATV, through an audio extractor to optical out, and fed into the speakers.
