These are some measurements of the Apple iPod nano (7th gen) taken on a Topping E2X2 OTG via REW. The test suite was ripped from Golden Sound's REW test suite on Tidal (via an unnamed website, for convenience). The FLACs' bit depth and sample rates were verified via Spek before converting to 16-bit/44.1kHz ALAC and AAC for testing, though I only post the ALAC results here.
I've been enjoying this little DAP for the past year or so now, for some travel but also mostly around the house, as it's great for sleeping with. It doesn't disappoint, and powers my Sennheiser HD 600's pretty well! (Even with the "Acoustic" EQ profile that adds a nice bass shelf and corresponds to the headphone's measured response pretty well.)
FYI, this model has been measured before (discussed here), but I've otherwise struggled to find good measurements for it.
0dBFS 1kHz Test Tone
-6dBFS 1kHz Test Tone
-76dBFS 1kHz Test Tone (iPod's lowest selectable volume)
16/44.1 White noise
Cross-talk
Jitter J-test
Mid-side Test, 500Hz & 1kHz Left, 1kHz & 3kHz Right, via Left Channel
IMD SMPTE -3dBFS
IMD SMPTE -49dBFS
Multi-tone, 32-Tone Test, -7dBFS
Multi-tone, 32-Tone Test, -32dBFS
Multi-tone, 32-Tone Test, -25dBFS
